will you be happy if they improve the quality of the side? or will you be frustrated as it takes them 4-6 weeks to bed in and get up to match fitness... and maybe take away the harmony in the group? especially with those who have been dropped.

If they are quality they will fit in quickly enough.

We won't sign that number imho. 2 or 3 more likely which will cause less unrest in the dressing room but with (fingers crossed) give us "that extra bit of quality" tm

remember when we played leeds away last season with 3 new players in the team. remember what results we had for the 9 or 10 games after that.
good players will spur the current team on.

agree with packmoorpotter. 2 or 3 perm deals @ most.possibly none.
with Hoult suspended he will want a goalie on loan & obviously we need a quality CM & ideally a pacy quality winger.
as TP has shown over & over again unless he can get the player he 100% wants @ the price he wants he wont sign anyone.
If Mama goes to the ANC then TP may loan a striker.
Other possibles are a fullback (either side) & maybe TP will snap up someone who he doesnt really need right now but is available @ the right price - Callum Davenport or Ward & Agyemang would fit into this catagory

What I am trying (not very well mind) to say is that I think we will only BUY 2/3 max but maybe any 2/3 of the 6 or 7 'slots' going squad wise.
we might loana couple.

Can Davenport play full back? Isn't he about seven foot six?

good defenders should be able to play all across the back four
about 6 ft 4, will add to the physical element once more!

Asking a centre half to play full back is like asking a centre forward to play on the wing, we would never do that would we?
