I have been informed from a very reliable source(well kind of ;D) that Pulis is aiming abit high again in the transfer window.
A mate who told me about Cort signing before he did, seems to think that Pulis is trying to sign Harewood on loan from Villa. He hasn't settled as well as O'Neil had expected and has only come on as sub a few times, so O'Neil is willing to listen to offers but would prefer a permanent sale for around £2million.
The problems are that Harewood doesn't want to drop out of the premier and he's reportedly on £20,000 a week. Plus WBA...erm I mean Brazil are interested in him for when Miller returns to Manc.
If this is true...and thats a very big IF ;D Ive got to praise Pulis for the quality hes targeting because Harewood would be the ideal replacement for Sidibe, hes big and strong AND can score goals which is some thing Sidibe is seriously missing! but I'm slightly worried that he'll waste all month on targets that we probably haven't got a chance in hell of signing. I would prefer him to sign someone like Webber who we have actually got a chance of signing and get Sidibe as far away from the 1st team as possible

I spoke to Marlon Harewood last year and asked him to sign for us as he lives in Derby and it wouldn't be far for him to travel, he bought a Audi R8 from us so if you see one down the Brit it might be him.

that would sort of go along with something i have been told by someone who knows someone in quite a high position at the club. anyway he was told by coates that we already have a deal done and dusted and the fee is £2m he wouldnt say who it was for though.
when the person said to coates something along the lines of wow i never thought we would spend so much on 1 player coates apparently said ah but times have changes and i really want us promoted

They've agreed a £2m fee for Miller though. He'll sign in January.

Has he got the aerial prowess Pulis would look for as a partner for Fuller?
And would't he be on around the £20,000-a-week mark at Villa?
Would he walk away from another 2 1/2 years of that, just a few months after Villa paid over £4m for him?
He has been a bit of a disastrous signing for them though.
If Stoke paid £2m for anyone, I think I'd be in need of smelling salts.

£1.4m for Whelan was the fee rumoured to have been agreed with Weds in August.
presume the same (or lower as he is out of contract next summer) fee?
didnt the player turn the move down out of hand though?

Can't see us paying anywhere near that much for a bloke who's out of contract and on a Bosman in the summer?
But maybe we'd have to pay a bit over the odds. Surely Wednesday will want to get some kind of fee in the next few weeks rather than see him walk for nothing.
How's he playing for them this season?

According to their board they don't rate him, described as "a poor mans Carrick", but may be sourgrapes.

under 24 so if Whelan goes in the summer Weds would still get a fee.
other clubs, notably Bolton, have been linked with him.

He's 24 in a fortnight, so can walk for nowt come the summer. tinyurl.com/2wvn5wtinyurl.com/32pnbtThey don't seem overly impressed with his reent form, but it must be hard to shine in a struggling team.
