Yes, he doesn't seem over critical of Hoult for the sending off. Crossley did much the same in a home match when he was on loan and got away with just a yellow, I think - certainly he wasn't sent off and like Hoult prevented an almost certain goal.

	Back to Top He broke my shin pad and cut my left shin to ribbons with a studs up challenge. It hurt like hell, but I couldn’t show it. I carried on playing until half time and when I came into the dressing room Micky Bernard was sick because he could see my shin bone. I told Doc Crowe, “Just strap it, cause I’m gonna do the bastard.” There was revenge to be had.
