Both of them!! Hull. Not least because it'd be great to go into a nice brassy tart of a cup tie in a strong league position and on the back of a home win.

Hull, we always get knocked out of the cup in the 3rd or 4th round. A|t least it wont be against Rochdale or some other lower league team. At least we get a bit of excitement out of it!!
Still think we can beat Newcastle though!!

Newcastle...!!! its on tele so it will prove to everyone what we are a good side we are and maybe JUST MABYE everyone will give us just a bin of recognition!!
Plus, we can bounce back in the league with a couple of extra wins away.

Kamara is tipping us for a 1-1 draw in his 'Challenge Kammy' page in this weeks Nuts.
"Stoke are doing fantastically well under Tony Pulis and could very well find themselves heading up to the north-east after this one"

No contest - HULL, and a draw against Newcastle. (then a victory in the replay at St. James, followed by wins against Chasetown in the next round, Chelsea in round 5, Liverpool in the quarters, Arsenal in the semi - proving to the classes of '71 and '72 that it can be done - and a 3-0 win against ManUre at Wembley, but I'm not saying it's going to be easy!)

Hull easy answer!! got more chance of winning the league or promotion.

It's more important to beat sides like Hull if we have true promotion credentials. If we lost against them at home, the other top-six sides would gain in points and morale over us.
A win against Newcastle will get the media slightly excited but will end in nothing but a 1-0 defeat in the 4th round against somebody like Fulham. We'll get a nice stash of cash from the tie to pay the wages of a January transfer, but that'll be about it.

Obviously I'd rather we won both matches but if I had to choose then it has to be Hull. There may be a lot of crunch games this season and the Hull game is certainly one of them. Whether we get the chance of auto promotion or not we need to cement our position as a top six side and stay there for the rest of the season.
The game against Newcastle will be a nice interlude from fighting for promotion and will also bring in some cash and it would be great if we win but I won't lose sleep if we don't.

I'm not sure Stoke have EVER beaten a side from a higher division in the FA Cup (& we've only been playing in it since 1872...) so I will take that thanks.
however no reason we cant beat Hull.

Hull, points make prizes. A home draw with Newcastle followed by an away win as the fickle geordies bay for big sams head with lots of booing and walking out 30 mins from the end as we walk away with a 3-0 win. ;D
