although im very pleased with their results over the last 8-9 games, i think we are giving up way too many goals, especially easy and silly ones. their seems to be something missing in the defence that is allowing all these goals to be scored. not sure what it is, but to continue onward and upward, it needs to BE addressed IMMEDIATELY !!!

i think we have given away some of our last seasons defensive record away to the more "attacking" football i use that word lightly it just seems that way to me there have not been very many binary score lines last couple of months which has co insided with stoke scoring more goals and also other sides being able to score past us with more easy....cov....sheffield.....barnsley.....plymouth.......
im not putting any negative spin on this i for one am glad of the two points we have picked up against the last two side!!!!!
go'arn stoke
bring on hull
4-1 stoke
fullerx2 lawrancex1 cortx1
posted that on the negative thread!!! my thoughts any way

5 goals in 2 away matches should be enough for at least 4 points.

I feel we are more attacking as a unit and that has to effect the defensive side of our game. 3 points for a win and to win you must attack. We are doing this more frequently now. However, we have just played 2 back to back away games after xmas, at opposite ends of the country, in 3 days, with the 2 best home records in the division, after just beating WBA, the top of the table, and we have not lost. I am certain when Salif is fit, he will bring in more solidarity to the team and with additional signings to arrive, things look good for us. SGS

Well i slightly disagree, although your right we do seem to give away alot of leads away noticeably away from home. But if you look at last season we might of had the best defence but we were one of the lowest scorers and haveing the best defence gets you nowhere in this division! We cant complain we came from back three times in our last game and its nice to see stoke scoreing 2 goals away from home quite regulary. My only moan is the keeper change, TP will be kicking himself but its not all doom and gloom we are still only 2 points off 2nd so and watford are shite at home ;D

you cheaky monkey you that first sentence with all those aways in nearly caught a fish then you know i ment taken some of our defensive duties and put then into more attacking football all is i am saying is we dont need the best defence in the league and be top scorers just need to get a good balance little bit more defending would go back to the regularity of last seasons many binary score lines

Yes yes i know u mean well ;D But we would of took stoke to be 4th by 2008, fuller to be on double figures and well a centre half to be not far off double figures ;D I must admit tho if and its a big if! Daverport rumour is true then well we are taking a step in the right direction! I might be in Afgan but the excitement is taking its toll even tho im across the other side of the world and we are starteing to get noticed and well its fooking great
