How I wish we could sign him in Jan. The best opposition player I have seen at the Brit this season IMO. I'm only dreaming, he will most likely go to the Prem

He's a terrier type player we are missing around the box makes things happen, just like Ricky. Was the difference between us and Coventry, a pain in the arse.

Agree, but not good enough for the premiership, would be a good buy some a promotion chasers, short on goals from there forwards.
Like we are from mama, but we have Cresswell who i believe is a poacher, and knows where the net is.

What is incredibly frustrating about Mifsud is that there was a poster who was continually 'banging on' as to how good a signing he would of been during the period before he joined Coventry. I'm not sure as to whether he emailed the club or not, but this proves that fans can locate the whereabouts of a few gems - Mifsud being a prime example.
He has proved an astute bit of business for Coventry, and obviously he has experienced relative success so his value will inevitably rise - meaning that we will now be looking at the above quote figures - £2 million. That is fine for sides who believe he'll be the last part of the jigsaw, but we have multiple positions in which we need to improve.
We've missed one there, I feel. He was superb at the Brit - too quick for us to handle.
I'd personally like to see him given an opportunity in the Prem, before forming any opinions as to whether he is good enough.....

Nath - youre spot on, one of the scandinavian stokies (was it robwahlmann?) was going on about him like a stuck record for weeks before he was even linked to Cov. Definite spotters badge awarded as he looked ace v us.

The guy who was championing Milfsud posted on a thread, shortly after his move to Coventry, that he had written to the club recommending him, but they had failed to respond.

Stoke was notified about both Mifsud and Koren before they left for Coventry and WBA. They were both available at a very decent price.

Yes, both Mifsud and Koren showed class in the Norwegian league, and I knew their contracts were up so I hoped Stoke would take notice. I never e-mailed the club though. I have also been nagging about Somen Tchoyi at Stabæk, becase he got all the makings to hack it in the premiership, I really think he is a Pulis kind of player too, big strong and pacey.

Rob, Email the club - if your last recommendations are anything to go by, he is certainly worth a look. I'd be willing to do it on your behalf should you not wish to. There seems to be a market worth taking seriously in Norway - and we've got a permanent scout there.

Rob is quite right regarding Simen Tchoyi. He is really a very strong, pacey and good midfielder (not least very tall). Scores a few goals as well. Definitviely a Pulis type/size player. Could be expensive tough as I assume he has got a couple of years left of his present contract?
