Apart from the fact we're winning during the Xmas period . We're regarded very differently by the media. Last year, we were hardly noticed as we flitted in and out of the play-off zone, but this year, most papers cover our games with longer, headlined reports, and there's serious talk of our 'promotion push'. We're upsetting all our rivals, and their fans ;D, the dressing room spirit is extremely cohesive, we're pinning down our better players and there's talk of more to come. There's a momentum here that I've not felt since Lou took us up as champions of Division 2 in the early 90s Are we being taken seriously for once, by ourselves as much as the media?

Another difference which I can kind of notice on this messageboard is that there now seems to be a bit more unity between us - no doubt helped by our recent form. There's also a bit of a <cliche warning> "siege mentality" about the team and also the fans as other teams and fans are having a go about our supposed rough style of play. It's looking good!

Perhaps we are more united because we are developing a siege mentality because of the bad press we get?

Yesterday reminded me of the promotion year under Lou we back then as now we just never seemed to give up and the players played right till the final whistle never thinking for once they would get beat. I am still keeping it on low burn at the moment, however come the end of Jan and we are still up there and have added quality to the squad my reserve may just burst, I bloody well hope so been a long time coming.

One major difference between this season and last is that we not be losing any of the players that started the game yesterday in January. That was our downfall last season, this January all the signings we make will add to our squad not fill holes left by loanee's.

The siege mentality works for me.
Watched a documentary once on Alex Ferguson and he lives by it. I'm not sure how he managed to conjure it up at Aberdeen cause no-one gives two hoots about them but it's obviously why Man Utd works so well for him.
Maybe Pulis is looking to follow in his footsteps ;D
