When Diao is fit, surely he will play - so what will happen then.
Will Delap move to RB? That would be very harsh on Wilko.
Lawrence has secured his placed in the staring 11 on current form.
Would he drop Eustace? (how would that go down dropping the current club captain?)
It will be very intersting to see what happens, especially if Whelan/ Quashie are added to the squad in January.
Let's just hope that any selection problem for Pulis does not detract from the current team spirit which is the best I have known it at Stoke for a long, long time.

Personally I think Diao will be on the subs bench to begin - it would be a bit foolish to drop one of the starting match hardened 11 for him as he hasn't played any competitive games since last season. Getting up to pace with that is the key - so putting him on for 20 minutes or against tiring legs is perfect way to do it.

He's a bit of a weird one to bring on as sub though. Maybe good if we are winning and looking to sure up the defence.

Pulis junior was on the bench yesterday, so anybody else is quite welcome there in my opinion, if we bring in better quality then Diao, delap, Eustace, Sidibe are good enough to bring off the bench
