I can remember Morgan and Saunders in consecutive games at the Vic we beat Sheff Utd 5-2 and Leeds 7-2 (after Mervyn Day said we would not beat them 6-2 again). However I think we also beat Barnsley 2-0 away in between the 2 home games. This is the closest I can recall to consecutive hat-tricks.

I think he's on 10 assists and 8 goals so far this season! That means he's been involved in just under half of our 39 goals! Very impressive. By the way, talking of scoring - we're the top scorers in the division on current form (last 8 games) stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/oform.html

Great results no matter how you look at it, but is a hattrick so amazing when two of the goals came on penalty kicks that you're not supposed to miss?

Shaggybear, how dare you question the god that is Liam, especially during this season of goodwill! Have some negative karma for that, you old grinch!

Since Higgy and Hoof left us we haven't had a penalty taker who really impressed me. Fuller's penalties have never given me a lot of confidence. I was delighted to see Lawrence go over to Fuller (who was still shaken after the tackle) and say he would take the penalty. Both Liam's penalties were excellent, I thought and I hope he has the job on a regular basis from now on.
With his assists plus goals from open play plus penalties he should top the Actim Index for midfielders by a mile this season. ;D

Stoke players scored hat tricks in 3 consecutive home games,Bertshin v Reading (I think) & then Morgan v Leeds & Saunders v Sheff Utd 86-87 as was said earlier.
