Certainly has a glaring flaw in his game.
Still, I think his superb shot stopping cancels out his inability to contend sufficiently with aerial balls (see Saturday) - however this is not in the slightest ideal.

Simmo is one of the best keepers in the league and if he makes a couple of errors he should receive even greater backing than normal. Call youself fans?

not the best today by simmo it has to be said, but he's only human all keepers make mistakes, and on his day in my opinion he is amongst the top 2 or 3 goalies in the league.

I know it was not clearly stated, i meant today.
As i said simmo on his day his best keeper in the league, and one of my favorite players at Stoke.

It's a tough season for simmo, with practically a *new* back four. So for that reason, i'll give him some slack

Hey, we're getting back to the spirit of the old board, lovely... I only heard the game on Radio Stoke but it does sound like Simo had his worst game for a long time. But he's an excellent keeper at this level, he'll be feeling shit, isn't about to do it again and imho it's crazy to think of dropping him because of two errors.

What happened after their 2nd/3rd goal? Simmo had to be restrained from Eustace?

Villian for the goals he let's in, hero for the goals he keeps out! On balance, he's a hero to me. Forget todays game Simmo, remember your good games. If Simmo never made a mistake, Stoke wouldn't have him between the sticks. Better by a mile than any other keeper in the division.

If we make the play-offs--he's great. But thank fck we are scoring more or same as opposition as he has had some glaring errors of late and TP knows that but we are still in the mix. If he 'balls-up' and we lose the game--well TP may think differently.

i felt sorry for him today, i heard someone shout very loudly when it was quiet "simmo, i think u need a rest mate" and he turned around and looked at the crowd, i really did feel for him as we all make mistakes, comments like that can only dent his confidence all in all, a good game plus, the barnsley fans moaning we played 8 minutes of stoppage time and all that bollocks, maybe if their lads wernt doing so much time wasting in added time then the game would of finished on time. We should have had a penalty anyway in the second half, an incident identical to the one given for their penalty, so all in all, a fair result well done lads
