Yet again the opposition moan about the physical nature of Stoke City. First it was Grayson followed by Mowbray, then Davies said he hoped the ref would be aware of our physical nature. After the game he said how proud he was that his side stood upto & matched us - matched us? they were far more physical than us 4 bookings & a sending off. This could now be working to our advantage, after all the purists in the league, like Barnsley are changing tacticts! Well done Stoke, a poor performance today, yet pure guts & spirit got us through, after all we have no skill in our side, quite what got us a point I just do not know, how did we come back from behind three times, against a side with all this class?

To be fair, Barnsley defensive tactics against Fuller were little short of a disgrace.
They clearly decided that the only way to stop him bursting through every time he received the ball was to rugby tackle him to the ground. Ricky is going to get some serious injuries if he is continually battered about with such tactics.
And they have the cheek to call us a physical side?!

May be Pulis should start saying the same thing about the oppo, being bullies and the ref needing to offer his creative players more protection

Agreed LH. The gameplan was clearly nobble Fuller at all costs even if it meant a booking (which the ref didn't seem to want to give). It worked to a degree as he didn't score but he still managed to be involved in all 3 goals though
