Lets hope this goes through today and we can get a couple more in before the end of the month, i think perhaps another full back and a genuine left sided player as competition for this place, don't think he'll go for another striker for the moment as i think TP sees his 4 as Kitson, Fuller, Sidibe and Cres.

We are enquiring, and IMO a loan would appear more likely. But the club has always stated that if the right player came along for the right price, n cash would be made available

Talking about a permanent signing and what we'll have to pay, it seems Lokomotiv paid US $ 4 mill a year ago.

Re: Dramani, there appears some confusion as Mark, and then Homzy's article suggested a season loan, but his agent in that article suggested he would be signing a 3 year deal today!!

Haminu Dramani - Didn't he play Count Dracula in one of those Hammer House of Horror movies?! And loans from Russia ... blimmin' eck ... Rudge's travel budget must be sky high! ... Though if we send The-Lovely-Tony-Scholers over there to negociate, will he ever come back!!? (Maybe there in lies the cunning plan ...?) ah

Just spoken to my boss, who's Ghanaian, about Dramani. His eye's lit up and said he was very quick and very aggressive. A great player and a great signing apparently! (He also laughed the other week when I said about Sammy Kuffour, and said there was no way in the world he was only 32. Could these original stories about a Ghanaian legend have been a mix up and related to this?)

www.whydelilah.co.uk/news/20_Aug_2008/Pulis%20orders%20a%20wee%20dram.htmlPulis orders a wee dram City close in on loan deal for Ghana wingerSTOKE City were on the verge of completing a loan deal for Lokomotiv Moscow’s Ghana international Haminu Dramani today in one of the club’s more intriguing signings of recent times. The 22-year-old winger trained with City’s first-team squad for the first time yesterday and is on track to appear in Saturday’s matchday 18 against Aston Villa. Dramani, who played and scored in the 2006 World Cup finals, has been signed by Tony Pulis on the recommendation of assistant boss David Kemp. “Kempy has watched him out in Russia this summer and likes what he sees,” said Pulis, below. “His judgment of a player is spot on, so I have no problem trusting his opinion. “He also knows what I like and what we need. “He tells me he’s quick and can play on either wing. Although he’s only 22, he’s had plenty of experience, so he seems well worth taking a chance on.” He measures in at only 5ft 8ins and Pulis hopes to take his wee Dram on loan for the season, or until January with an option to extend his stay until next May. Dramani’s previous ports of call include Red Star Belgrade and leading Turkish outfit Genclerbirligi, impressing sufficiently to attract a 3m bid from Lokomotiv on a four-year contract 12 months ago. He made his international debut at the age of 19 and has since played nearly 30 times for the west African state, including a goalscoring appearance against the United States in the World Cup finals in Germany two years ago. He further cemented his reputation and popularity in his homeland by impressing against Brazil 18 months ago before being red-carded in the closing stages of a 1-0 defeat. Dramani would become the club’s seventh summer signing and the sixth African on the club’s books. Elsewhere, Pulis is keeping a close eye on developments involving former skipper Danny Higginbotham and Ipswich striker Jon Walters. Higginbotham has been in talks over a move from Sunderland to Wolves, but hopes that Walters could soon be surplus to requirements at Ipswich have been hit by news that the Tractor Boys have pulled out of a deal for Newcastle’s Shola Ameobi because of a hamstring injury to the former Stoke loanee. While the onset of Shola Ameobi’s move from Newcastle to Ipswich could grease the wheels for Walters to leave Portman Road. Meanwhile, Ricardo Fuller has spurned the chance to join his Jamaica team-mates for a World Cup qualifier against Canada this week to concentrate on his return to fitness with Stoke. “It was his choice, but obviously I was delighted,” said Pulis. “He wanted to stay here to get another week’s solid training under his belt and I’m sure that was the right decision when you consider he’s had so long out over the summer.” And Fuller’s decision, together with his added sharpness in training this week, will do nothing to weaken his chances of a recall to the starting line-up following last week’s goalscoring appearance from the bench at Bolton.

HIS NAME IS DRAMAN NOT DRAMANI According to his wikipedia entry, that was down to a mis-spelling of his name on his shirt at the 2006 World Cup Note on name
There was some confusion during the 2006 FIFA World Cup as Dramani's surname was misspelled DRAMAN on the back of his shirt and, as a result, on FIFA documents. The Ghanaian FA confirm his name is Dramani.

**Apologies- took me ages to write the bloody thing! Sorry gibo!** I think they are concentrating too much on Dramani's comment of 13 days until the window closes: Stoke Offer Ghana Ace Two Week Trial
Premier League new boys Stoke City have offered a trial to Ghana international Hamanu Dramani, who is seeking a move away from Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow is looking to quit Lokomotiv and is trying to broker a move to the Premier League with Stoke City the most interested club thus far.
After their opening weekend 3-1 defeat against Bolton Wanderers, Stoke boss Tony Pulis is looking to further strengthen his Staffordshire side. Both a one year loan move, and a permanent three year deal have been mooted, but first of all Dramani must do enough on his trial to convince the Potters manager he is worthy of a longer stay.
Dramani told Sky Sports: "We will see... There are 13 days for the transfer to be done."
Reflecting on last weeks performance, and the task ahead, Pulis said: "It's a big, big two weeks for us. The key is we get other players in and improve the team as we go. The balance of the team isn't quite right at the moment and we need players with Premiership experience."
Stoke host Aston Villa on Saturday and will need to be mindful of Gabriel Agbonlahor, who proved quite a handful against Manchester City, scoring three goals in seven minutes.www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=826526
