Thanks, ghanaian.
Is he good at crossing the ball?
Why does he play on the right wing if he's left footed? (I've just seen he managed to cross the ball okay with his left-foot in the youtube clip of the Brazil friendly though)
He seems to have been in-and-out of the team since the World Cup in Germany. Strange that he's had so many clubs in strange parts of Europe at such a young age.
Do you think he's strong enough to handle the English Premier League?

If he's got pace and can run with the ball sign him up quickly, we desperately lack pace. If the rumors about him having a medical are accurate he'll probably sign tomorrow won't he ?, thats been the usual drill, medical and then announce the signing the next day.

ghanian where would you say his best postion is left or right mid Either side to be honest, but I think he prefers it on the right. Having said that, most of his most productive moments for the national team have come from him being on the left (goals against Cote d'Ivoire & USA, terrorism of Ilsinho, impact against Nigeria etc.).

His crossing does need to improve, but he is good at cutting the ball back across the face of goal. In and out of the team because, well have you seen Ghana's midfield? Muntari-Appiah-Essien-Kingston isn't exactly the easiest midfield to break into. Add to that Quincy Owusu-Abeyie and you can see why he's not first choice. He does get his fair share of games though. Strong enough? Definately. He'll have no problems with the physical side of things. In fact, his battling is one aspect that the Ghanaian fans like about him.

Sounds promising, I'll watch the clips at home (no vids in work ) but thanks for coming on and posting information on him. I'm just glad we're looking at someone that has some pace, I'd say he'll link up well with Fuller, but it sounds like they'll both be fighting for the ball ;D

If we were going for Ghanaian wingers in Moscow to fill the left-sided problem ,maybe Quincy would've been a surer thing? Quincy > Dramani in my opinion, although many Ghanaians (probably most that I know actually) disagree. Dramani is more direct than Quincy, which is one reason.

Absolutely no chance with Appiah to be honest. He'll go to a club that can provide him with European football. He's been linked with Schalke & Portsmouth last I heard. At the moment though he's locked in a bit of a legal situation with Fenerbahce who have have really ****** him about for the past year with regards to his injury (messed up his operation, then misdiagnosed him after messing up the operation making the situation 100 times worse to the point where it was life threatening. Then they stopped paying him because he wasn't "useful" at the time). So he may not be able to move during this window.

Starting to take shape now, assuming Pulis sees Davies and Dramani as starters when they're fit and they prove themselves ...
We're just a left-back away from having an adequate starting XI. We could obviously still do with 2-3 more additions to bulk the squad up, quality-wise, definitely another striker needed. And another wide player, so we don't have to resort to Cresswell or Delap filling in out there.
Sorensen
Davies-Shawcross-Faye-? Lawrence-Whelan-Olofinjana-Dramani Fuller-Kitson
Simonsen Wilkinson Cort Diao Faye Sidibe Cresswell

Do you think he's strong enough to handle the English Premier League? Not strange at all Grapey, haven't you seen all the African and South American players in Eastern European clubs now? It's the new route to Europe for young players who wants to make it as a footballer. Decent wages and they know they will be watched by clubs in the big leagues. One example is Jo at Man City.

Fufu oatcakes all round then. Hope Appiah doesn't go to another English team, I'll never be able to wear my Ghana top again.

True - I just thought it was strange that, at his age, he'd already had three incredibly short spells in Serbia, Turkey and Russia - and was ready to embark on his 5th league at the age of just 22. Funny old game.

Firstly, thanks for coming on here to tell us about him. About our survival chances, most people have written us off, but most of us on here I think feel that we've got a reasonable chance with a few more signings needed. Pulis has never had a team relegated so that puts us in good shape. However, quite a big improvement is needed on Saturday's loss at Bolton, particularly defensively.

Will be very tough BUT we are getting in some decent players now to give us the best chance.
If you had asked a week back i would have maybe said different.
It's not going to be easy but we can do it if we get a couple more players and with our fighting spirit i know we can stay up !

www.stoke.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=121128Stoke trialing Ghanaian winger Stoke City are reported to be trialing Ghanaian international winger, Haminu Dramani. The 22 year old currently plays for Moscow Lokomotiv, but his agent told ghanasoccernet.com that the Potters could be ready to sign him as early as Wednesday after he was watched by Stoke scouts during a pre-season tournament against Chelsea two weeks ago. He said: 'Haminu trained with Stoke this morning and we expect the deal to be finished within 24 hours, I am here at the Stoke training ground and he is still showing the qualities they saw in him two weeks ago.' Even this deal does happen, he's unlikely to be available for Saturday's match against Aston Villa as the Potters will have to apply for a work permit, but will be a welcome boost to Tony Pulis' options on the wing. There seems confusion as to whether he will sign a permanent deal or come on loan. Teamtalk, although reporting the same story, state that he will come on loan, whilst ghanasoccernet say that he will sign a three year contract. To bring Dramani in on loan could make more sense and confirm the manager's comments a few weeks ago that he would exploit the loan rules to try and gain maximum benefit as he has done the previous two years in the Championship. Whilst Premier League clubs are only allowed to have two players on loan from other English clubs, they are allowed an unlimited number of foreign loan players, which goes some way to explaining why the Potters had been keen to sign players like Zigic on loan, but backed away when such a deal proved impossible.

Did anyone see the Nigeria v Belgium game in the Olympic semi??Nigeria were amazing, but more interestingly, they had a player who plays for Locomotive Moscow playing for them up front - Osaze Peter Odemwingie - so a team mate of Dramani. I watched the extended highlights tonight and he looked fantastic!!!! Totally ripped them apart in the first half, playing a free roaming role. He was appearing on the left, right and up front. Good touch, vision, very quick, decent shot, looked the business. Think he had a hand in at least one of their 4 goals too. Shame we can't go to locomotive and get in there with a double signing, both Odemwingie & Dramani!! Highlights online are here - news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/africa/7570309.stmBut I think if you press the red button on the beeb then you can watch the extended highlights of the match. Worth a look IMO.

no chance with Odemwingie he played in France with Lille and looked very tasty and was linked to big clubs, everyone was surprised when he chose locomotiv! if he moves it will be to a bigger club than us unfortunately
