This Reminds me of the Zola Matouma 'signing'. Why bother releasing any statements, saying the deal is nearly done? All that's going to do is rile supporters, when the deal falls through.

Well update from SSN scholes interview, not signed yet but hopeful it will all be sorted next week.
Faye - should get the permit today to play tomorrow !!

You look at the proabble team for the opposition and you realise what a massive jump it is between Championship and PL!
I have a sneeky feeling Delap might take Cressy's place on the left wing and Whelan & Olly will continue in the centre.

He likes Cresswell's goal threat though, doesn't he? (well, certainly at C'ship level)
Take Kitson and Lawrence out of that team, and the goal theat is non-existent apart from set-pieces.
Even Olofinjana's goal record is very poor, apart from one freakish season in his four at Wolves.

Stoke City more than ever needs a Chief Executive with business savvy & an understanding of football.
Ideally that person would also understand SCFC & the area generally.
that needs to be backed up by an adminastration that knows what its doing & is motivated to do so. - a proper CE would know this & get thsi aspect sorted -
we also need a scouting system that covers all EU countries as a minimum (expensive but would pay for itself tenfold in the long run)
we have none of these things,we have Tony Scholes.

In short - NO But it doesn't make a difference if you live outside the are or not to NOT have a clue what the hell goes on with transfers. I hate Moxey but Scholes is worse as he is simply inept
I think its quite telling that many SCFC employees followed (& are still following many years later) the fat one to the Custard Bowl
even the original hippo (yes its a bloke ina suit,the hippo inner real) went!
