Surely we'd make sure we have first option on him in case he does turn out to be an absolute star??? You'd hope so, but nothing would suprise me. We are so cautious it is untrue. Can't grasp it myself. There is a risk that you jump in and get it wrong, but if you pussyfoot about on the edge all of the time you are almost inviting failure.

6 month loan makes sense for everybody
if he's pants we get rid - & of course he may not settle - if he's good we conclude a deal (in january) before the Russian season starts again in March. his fitness should be OK as he's been playing since March
presumably (?) we have agreed terms with the player & Lokomotive already for a perm transfer? be very frustrating if he turns out to be a star only for Stoke to fail to agree terms come Jan.

What if he is good, and someone else comes in and blows us out of the water??? It never seems that simple in the murkey world of football, and that is doubley true for us.

well hopefully (am I being naive here?) Stoke have agreed 1st option on him @ a set price already.

We are signing him and it will be on a 12-month loan. There are no complications.

Homzy- I obviously believe you mate. Seems very strange that the official site is saying six? ??? (we all know how reliable that site is though!)

DRMAN WOULD ALSO BE GOOD AT RIGHT BACK No way. No way. He does well tracking back as a winger and isn't afraid to put his foot in, but put him at full back and he gets exposed. That boy is no defender (whether he thinks he is or not).

Just listened to the interview and when asked if it will be a season-long loan Tony said "Yeah, I should imagine so, yeah."
So apologies for saying he'd 100% said it would be a full season!

Nope, not in any of the interviews or even among the media. But that Sky Sports story dropped when we were all at the Mich so there was no real reason for anyone to bring up Zigic.

It would be nice for him to get a confidence boosting 20 minutes against Cheltenham (Need to stay optimistic here!)

It is intriguing that those alleged comments on Valencian local radio yesterday lunchtime about 2 Stoke reps meeting their president again coincides with news that he's available for a loan to an English club though. Could be a case of 'watch this space' hopefully. Not many teams could guarantee him regular football in the Prem (mind you, I'm not sure a potential partnership with Kitson would be a natural one?)

Good to see we've [almost] signed the Ghanaian though ... hope he proves Kempy right. From 6 iceland ers to 6 africans in about 4 seasons ... How times change, eh? Though it just proves, yet again, how right Gunner was; Pulis just wunner sign Europeans! ah
