As nervous a 90 minutes as I can remember, but WHY? I recall thinking after the game that either we were that good or Brentford were that poor, there never seemed one moment when we wouldn't succeed. Anyway, happy dayz and at least with automatic promotion well within our sights, we probably won't have to endure the same emotions this time around!

Never any doubt in my mind, as I put a curse on them before leaving london . I had to , to counter act the dressing room jinx . I borrowed a new Fazer 600 from the motorbike hire company I worked for at the time, under the pre-tense of "running it in" with a nice easy few hundred motorway miles to Cardiff and back . I went round the North Circ, did a lap of the demolition site at wembley because we should have been there. Then I dropped down to Brentford at the start of the M4, did a quick lap of the outside of their ground, shouting "Loose you Bastards" on every side , Then Joined the M4 and passed everysingle one of them shouting "loose you batsards" as I passed them cruising between 100-120 mph most of the way ;D... running it in my arse , also passed pretty much every single Stoke coach too . Yes I have some good memories of that day ... It was me what won it for them ... Oh yes

Strange but the final was an anti climax for me. Nothing could compete with the result at Cardiff (City) & after that I sensed that Brentford would be comfortably beaten.
Mind you getting slaughtered the night before the final hardly helped.
