John Halls commented yesterday "This is like a dream come true for me. Its not everyday that you get offered the chance of playing for a team begining with the letter "Y". I feel that teams like Stoke City didnt offer me the chance to sufficienctly showcase my talent, the big stage if you like, so when the offer came to move to Huish Park, I was delighted, especially when I realised it wasnt in Scotland. Russel Slade is of course well known, and Im looking forward to hearing him sing "Merry Christmas Everyone" in the dressing room, I think he might get me oneof those hats with the round mirrors on. Of course, I will be able to combine the 2 main loves o fmy life, apples and apple ornientated products, and naval aviation, by drinking cider at the Fleet Air Arm museum. I once spoke to Halls in what was then Fluid nightclub around the time it was rumoured he was leaving. I was about 17/18 at the time. I shook hand s with him and all that crap and because I'd had a few I asked him not to leave. I said if he stayed at Stoke he would become a legend and the Stoke fans would worship him. Then the twat turned around and said in a patronising fashion 'look if you were getting paid two bags of sweets for working in a shop and another shop came along and offered you ten bags of sweets, what would you do??
Well John it looks like you ate too many sweets, got fat.... and thats why your playing at Yeovil!!
