'Davies had his arm over Shawcross shoulder to prevent him from jumping for the ball on one of the goals'
Shawcross practically had Davies shirt off for the second goal but still couldn't stop him. Was way too smart for Ryan and saying in time he'll come through with a leader etc not really the answer. Need to put things right asap. Shawcross was shown up for what he is yesterday- too young and inexperienced for the Prem. We conceded far too many soft goals from set pieces etc last season and can't see why that will change in the Prem. Good point above re the Kitson clearance-was again caught marking thin air. Sure Cort must take some responsibility also but showed a lot more yesterday.

As I said on another thread Newcastle fans say that Faye needs a leader alongside him so he is unlikely to tutor our Ryan Just shows what thick fookers the geordies are.

I stil remember that game well as i had built Ryan up over the summer to anyone that would listen and taugh he was just well out of his dept in this league, how wrong i was! He has been fantastic since christmas and is one of the best young CB's in the Prem
