Looking at him, I'm a bit worried they'll be all out of food up there Joe!
Derby looking better under Jewel - Going forward at least!

Strange that Jewell went there. He said the stress of last seasons relegation battle had worn him down and he needed a break...so he went to Derby. Eh ???
Fatty Viduka just equalised. He's still cak.

Newcastle seem to make hard work of everything. Its 1-1 now and they can be expected to win and I think they will but its all so laboured and disjointed.

They need a few seasons under Big Sam, Joe. If you look through their team, how many would get into a top premier side? Hardly any ... They have spent years buying too many crocks (like Dyer) and average-only players (that list is endless).
They're a bit like us really, but without Ricci Fuller. Big side, not much pace, a few with some skill, couple of tacklers in midfield (which we miss one of ... until Sali) so they try and "bully" their way to win games (which they look like doing today, as you say Joe, eventually).

They are miles away from challenging for a top four place. Theres something wrong with the entire psychology of the club. Sam is big on the psychology stuff so he's got something to get his teeth into!!
Joey Barton seems inhibited. A player like him should be carrying the game to the opposition.

Barton don't help himself. He's either banned or injured every other game. Saw him a couple of times, in the flesh, for City. When he's on it he's a great attacking midfielder, when he's not he's very very average.
They need a couple of wingers up at 'Castle (not before they come to our place though), it's all so central it's frightening.
Derby giving it a rate go ... Don't be nasty Twisty ... they can pick up a few before we need to worry about any record next year! ;0)

Joe, if they'd have drawn Brighton the Seagulls fans would have been banking on it.

In all fairness Milner battles gamely out wide but throughout the team they lack creativity.

Milner isn't playing wide enough though - Though I agree, looks a tidy little player (not sure of his attitude at times, though). They are so narrow it's really frightening. What that normally means is a complete lack of pace at the back ... and through center midfield ... usually means the team is scared stiff of a counter attack. Fuller will be rubbing his hands ah (My "provider" better be going back English for the 2nd half!!)

Couldn't we do a 24000 strong mass moon to Joey Barton as a show of solidarity with him? Just a thought like.

Both equalisers for FatLad, tough on Derby, but neither side can defend. Two shocking teams, for the Premier, and people say we - and others - would stand "no chance" ... my 'arris.
Can wait for the Geordies at our place. No height or pace - and clueless - at the back. If we can mark FatLad and Martins up front, we'll give em a right game.
Hope Duff doesn't get any fitter in the next two weeks is all.
(Off to watch The Great Escape with Clarkson, given he's been good enough to put it on ...)
