hahahaha
prefer wilko anyday of the week, a true stokie who i thought played fantastic again today playing against a very good left side in robinson, brunt and teixera , he stayed on his feet and won the ball with some bone crunching tackles
nice to see some real passion out there in the right back spot, just as effective as griffin defensively and attacking wise hes got a good hoof on him !!

If we are to be honest this was a problem for Hoefkens when he played for us too, but he is a good player though, especially when going forward.

Today, Ricardo would have extracted the urine from any fullback in the Championship. Denigrating Hoofers is detracting from what was a truly brilliant performace from Fuller. It may be fashionable for 'The Rimmers' but it doesn't tell the true strory.

OS, Not denigrating in the slightest - what I said previously is what everyone knows Hoefkens is not a defensive minded defender and we witnessed numerous times him getting skinned at Stoke when up against a player with pace. What I said before the game is Fuller should have him in knots and it wouldn't surprise me if Pulis tells Fuller and co to target him and run at him. If you know of an opposing players weakness you exploit it!
I am in no way either taking anything from Fuller he excelled as per his usual excellent self and fully exploited their defensive weaknesses.
Why bring up the 'rimmers' bollox anyway obviously you can't just enjoy the unity can you? Even if it is laughing at an ex-player who fucked off for the money being put on his arse by Fuller!
Anyway as I told you previous I am neither a rimmer or hater, just have my feet firmly in reality!

not denigrating, just utter rubbish - when did Fuller leave Hoefkens on his arse?
If you are referring to the third goal, I think you will find it was their useless centre half who was left on his backside (and promptly subbed straight after).
Hoefkens wasnt the player at the back post marking Fuller for the 2nd goal either - in fact, he was not at fault for any of them.
Thought he had a decent game. Linked up well going forward & Cresswell never beat him that I can remember. My only criticism is that it seemed he was trying ttoo hard to be all nicey nicey on his return to the Brit.

There were so many people booing him where I was sitting (hoefkins( and I fdound it a little out of order. He wasn't that bad when he played for us. I have certainly seen worse.

he left for that shitt, and for that he will never be forgiven
he had the option to say NO, if pulis wouldve rejected the bid, he probably wouldve gone in a strop and would never want to play for the club again
player power is massive today, he had the option, people have been saying he had no option
pulis was playing him every game

Shhhhhh, you can't have a go Hoofers he was part of the golden age under Boskamp.
I believe a few of the boys are organising a coach trip to Smethwick to see him in the spring.

doesnt matter if it was hoefkens or not. the fact of the matter is we are in a better position than this time last year, points wise and without hoefkens. the guy was a good player for us but weve moved on, wilko is a superb replacement, who has more pace and can head a ball. 750k doesnt seem all that bad for him now.

LOL @shhhhhh, you can't have a go Hoofers he was part of the golden age under Boskamp. I believe a few of the boys are organising a coach trip to Smethwick to see him in the spring. I always liked Hoef but he was NEVER a good defender hard as it is for the people who suffer BosBlindness! It seems if you watch the matches and understand whats going on whilst enjoying us winning, you're a rimmer! If however you prefer to remember them wonderful golden days of Bozzy you can look forward to watching third division Belgian matches ;D Not sure why but I guess I'll stay loyal to Stoke!

Hoof's new haircut fooled a lot of us - myself included.
I don't really understand the booing - he left with no bitterness - he was offered a longer, better contract and he opted to take it and we let him go. He didn't throw a strop like Higgy or mess us about for months like Commons.

It's the two centre backs that the Albion need to be concerned about.

Does it matter if it was Hoefkens or not ? Fuller does that to all defenders in this league and im sure he'd do it to a few more in the prem too.

Fornside
Your players where more up for it . They won the individual battles in the parts of the pitch that counted.
Fuller was in great form, although he did use his arm to control the ball for the first goal. Still think the result would have been the same if that fool of a lino had spotted it.
Albion with the ball where too predicatable first half, its good to mix it up with a few direct passes. Though this worked well when philips droped off and begans to ping the ball about a bit, got it out wide a bit more , our crosses where causing you more trouble than the first half tippy tappy stuff. gera was shite.
to sum up you where the better side on the day. Ignore our football purist fools. Like all your football purist idiots they need to pull their heads out of their arses.
incidently they need to turn up back TP and PC , the extra cash will mean a better squad and poss prem football and the yo-yo para payment gravy train.

Cheers CP. I agree Fuller handled the ball with his arm but on Craig Wally's vid he looks to me as if he was pushed in the back by the defender which caused the handball.

'Your players where more up for it ' Colman you're an intelligent guy and the most interesting non Stoke supporter on the board- used to be another one cliff. However I find this 'Your players where more up for it ' complete nonsense- is a way of saying we were simply better on the day in most areas of the pitch. Anyway here's to us battling for top spot in May

Cheers CP. I agree Fuller handled the ball with his arm but on Craig Wally's vid he looks to me as if he was pushed in the back by the defender which caused the handball. That's how I saw it from Wally's video. He gets pushed in the back by one of West Brom's thuggish defenders and his arm goes up as a result. No intent there at all.

Hmmm
It wasnt Hoefkens who got 'done' by Fuller but Hoefkens should have been there as it was the rightback position/area that Fuller was attacking from.
so dont know if the Hoef is off the hook or not?
@ the end of the day I'm not sure any fullback in the division would have stopped Fuller from getting that goal - a simply fantastic hat-trick moment.
Hoefkens was sold too cheap - way too cheap -. Wright has diasapointed but Wilko looks alright to me,@ least defensively.
Andy Griffin was @ the Brit on stadee - probably means nothing as he is bound to know a large part of the current Stoke set up.On the other hand TP saw Grif as a rightback & Derby have changed their manager so you never know.
