West Brom's highly qualified manicurist was today preparing a kit bag full of false nails in readiness for the big Championship clash between Stoke City and the Baggies. Albion boss Tony Mowbray confirmed that the club were taking the threat of the Potters most seriously, "its a big game and we have to be properly prepared, imagine if one of the lads chips a nail during the game? I think my biggest fear though is that if Stoke were to take the lead a few of our lads may try to scratch the eyes out of the Stoke players"

Thing is one of WBA's best player ever is Cyrille Regis. He was brilliant. An ace centre forward. He could mix it with the best of them. Did the baggies start blarting or feign disgust when he threw his weight around?
