By the way, they've cut down all the trees so you can see Sir Stan off the A50.

I thought the Brit was looking much cleaner and tidier now they've replaced the plastic sheets at the back & added a lick of paint. Even the little touches like the new block numbers and the Stoke City Football Club sign on the JS beneath the boxes make it look better.
The pitch looks a lot smaller than previously.
They've also had new nets too.

Before we see whether the ground will be full every week, should we not consider spending a little money on the existing parts of the staium without increasing capacity? Paint the bloody ground, it would look so much nicer with a new lick of paint Cut down the trees/bushes obstructing the view of the Stanley Matthews statue from the A50 A bigger scoreboard or replace the bulbs which have gone in the existing one More efficient and organized food and beverage counters (so we don't miss half the match and they don't run out of pies or beer) A new P.A. system, I think it used to be quite clear and has deteriorated, but either way something needs to be done Whilst yes I would like to see the corners filled in and the Boothen/Seddon extended, I don't think it's worth considering untill almost all the existing capacity is sold in season tickets per annum? O and I forgot, personally I walk to the ground but for those who drive, do parking and access routes need to be improved?

If the new speakers are designed to have rusty brackets and paint flaking off, then I suspect they haven't got round to it yet!!

Been working up there today no external work been done, should be working up there next week so i'll update next week.
As I said earlier the track at the moment won't be done before the Villa game, as it takes to long to set and the cerry pickers have still got to put up the advertising boards.

the only thing that worries my about the pitch being made smaller is that it will make the players feel further away from the fans and lessen the atmosphere

The pitch being further away from the fans won't change the atmosphere one but.
Will, however, make it less easier for knob-heads to throw stuff at players/linesmen or run onto the pitch and smack someone infront of the Match of the Day cameras.

Unless they are throwing at orange head. I'm sure we'll reach him no matter how far from the stands!

Parkin was obsessed with those sprinklers. Everytime someone passed to him in halftime training he was letting the ball roll past cause he was too busy staring at them ;D
