Am a little worried what will happen if we dont go up this season.
Are we putting all our eggs in one basket this season leaving us with little or nothing left over for next.
What will happen with regards to TP would he stay in argueably his best ever chance to get a team into the prem were to turn sour?
Dont wanna be a doom merchant and i seriously hope we do it and go up.
just something to think about thats all.

if we dont go up this season
we go up next season
we just have to be patient -this lot now in charge appear very much, to know what they are doing
we just have to recognise we'll need some luck too

if we finish in the playoffs and don't go up i will still regard it as a success
in fact finishing top 8 would prove that last season was no fluke
finishing in thetop 6 this season would prove that we are one of the championship big boys, and that will do me for now.take it one step at a time, we seem to have gone from relegation candidates one year to promotion the other!
no way will we get the automatic spots, our squad isnt big enough, unless we spend REALLY BIG in jan, then people will still take time to gel

People said last years team was built on foundations of sand but this year only Ryan Shawcross is likely (but not certain) to be lost at the end of the season.
If we don't make it this year we'll have an even better chabce to go up next year and we'll be even stronger!
With TP and PC we may just have the right leadership to push us into the promised land and I honestly think we will make it in the not too distant future

Assuming Cort and Pugh are done deals, the progress of Wilko and Dicko, we will arguably have a much better starting squad than we finished last season with..........that wouldn't be hard mind. But let's worry about it at the end of May

There were plenty who predicted that we had blown our chance when we didn't make the playoffs last season. They said that this year's Championship was going to be much tougher. Doesn't look tougher than last year now, does it?
If we don't go up this season then we'll try to get promoted next season - just as every club does if they fail to make it.

Like Boothenendboy said we will still all be potters, we just spend a few weeks pissed off then dust ourselves down ready for a new challenge. Although I would like to think there are no ifs we dont's about it.

Almost certain that we will go up....but if by some quirk we don't we will be much better placed to go up as champions next season

Almost certain that we will go up....but if by some quirk we don't we will be much better placed to go up as champions next season Yes, and if not it will be the season after next etc and so on. There is probably room in the top league for clubs that have not been subject to rich speculators who will sink their fangs into a club and want a return on their investment. I am starting to think that I am talking about Utopia. May be football still plays some role in the premiership. Let's hope so.

Whether we go up this season or not is not the point. What we all wanted to see was progress. Last season was, indeed, built on sand and the close season was appalling. This season, although belatedly in many instances, that seems to have been rectified. We are now building a squad of players who are capable of vying for the top spots and they are actually ours [except for Shawcross and a couple signing on the dotted line].
All this hype about Premiership is just that....hype. Under the Icelanders, we saw steady progress until the last two seasons when Pulis did his best to to ruin one to get his master installed and we had the crazy, but entertaining, Bossie season.
All that is now left behind us and both Coates and Pulis seem to have learned their lessons. January will be the final proof of whether Coates has learned his and the next 5 months will prove whether Pulis has learned his.
If we make the play-offs then that will have been progress. If we fail to do that given the players we have now at our disposal then that will be failure. As far as Pulis's future is concerned, if we make the play-offs and go out to win but get beaten by a better team then we can ask no more and Pulis will be given more time. If we make the play-offs and we lose because Pulis does the same as he did at QPR last season then he should go and we should look for a manager who is capable of taking us further.
OS.

I'm sure that Coates and Pulis have learned some lessons.. However, those needing to learn the most lessons are (some) of the fans with their heads still in the clouds Pulis is a winner and that will become more obvious as the squad improves I now expect the playoffs but if we don't make them or better then I have little doubt that we will go up sooner rather than later - with or without our purist friends

If we dont go up this season but still have a good season I for one will be very proud to be a stokie but look at preston. They were up there last season and are now in the bottom half of the league with teams like bristol ( combine harvester ) city in the top 6 why the fek should we not be going up as champs
