Apparently sunderland might looking to ship him out in the transfer window, don't think he's featured for them much latly, Pulis used to be a big fan if i remember rightly he once said how he'd love to have signed him, possible january signing ? maybe if we offload Pericard .

Think that would be the stumbling block, in that we need to ship out first
Periwinkle and Beast out
Let Fuller, Cressy and Connolly fight for first team

Connolly would be a great move, at 30 he's got a couple of good years left in him at least at this level. We just need to stitch Stafford Rangers up with Pericard first. I'd stick with Beast though, if only on the bench.

Would be a good move, I think - would boost our striking options nicely, and give us variation in attack. Offloading Pericard, though not Parkin, would be sensible in my opinion. I firmly believe that Parkin will become a useful asset as and when/if we make improvements to the midfield. Despite his size, he likes the ball on the floor, and although his contribution is limited at the moment, there is an opportunity for him to form part of the forward line of a regular basis, should we improve areas in which we are currently lacking - and thus, play more of a patient, passing game.
In saying the above, a midfielder and winger are the top priorities.

Sign him but get Rid of Pericard and keep Rooney out on loan so he scores and keeps his confidence

When I had the infamous Ade conversation with Pulis over Ade he singled Connolly out as a player he'd enquired about but couldn't afford
Could be a good shout fella

Good player. Holds the ball up well and brings midfielders into the game. Also good because he plays across the entire width of the pitch. The second half the Wimbledon game at the Brit (April 2003) he was a big part in them getting back in the game because he kept makiing diagonal runs timed brilliantly to drag our defence out of their comfort zone. Smart stuff and he'd be an asset to a Championship club with ambition.
