are there any stokies seriously considering going shopping instead of going to the match satdee? Especially when the shops are open sunday, i cannot believe any self respecting wife/girlfriend/boyfriend would make a stokie go shopping and miss the match

My Christmas shopping (including all festive booze purchases) will be officially completed at approximately 20.00 this evening. However, if the match was on Christmas Eve and I hadn't even started buying the pressies, I know where I'd be!

Like the man says, you can go shopping on Sunday. No excuses this should be the best home game of the season.

I have my Saturday all planned out.
Wake up, get up for a piss then back to bed. When the alarm goes off at 9.30am snooze it for half an hour. Get up a 10am, washed and dressed for 10.30am. Trip down the Oatcake shop for breakfast. Up Hanley duck by 11.15am. There will be no heavy traffic on the way to Hanley. Race around the shops like a mad fucker. Everything I need will be in-stock and easy to find. Avoid the traffic and back home for 12.45pm. Raid the fridge for my pre match meal. The fridge will be fully stocked with fine food. Put Stoke Top on and then in the pub for 1.45pm. Get served straight away. Leave pub at 2.30pm. At the match in time for kick off. Watch the fantastic pre-match entertainment. Watch Stoke's best performance of the season so far, celebrate our twelve goal victory. Back to the pub after the match. Easy, easy, easy. What could possibly go wrong???

Get to the ground at noon the club shop is open so buy ALL your Chrimbo prezzys from there and then go the match! Whats the problem?
No trapesing round shops and get to the match in loads of time

Good point Trebor. Get all the pressies from the SCFC shop so kill two birds with one cliche. Admittedly some friends and relatives might not be Stokies but if they aren't Stokies you wouldn't buy them a gift so its an open and shut case!!
