What would you do if Stoke moved 70 miles away? would you swallow your pride and still go every game?

no
the more pertinent question, is would we have the guts and dedication to set up a new club like Wimbeldon did?

I'd like to register my unwavering dedication should that day ever arrive.
Someone else would have to provide all the money though.

It must be an awful thing to happen to loyal fans, sadly there will be more of it unless football loses its obession with money.
To be fair to Wimbledon though it must be even harder to resist when your home doesent want you. I'm sure they would have been more viable if they could have returned to their own part of london.

I was talking to a Vale fan about franchising earlier in the week. I think it could be in the minds of some of the people who want to take over at Vale. Take them away from Stoke, to somewhere where there's less competition - like Crewe Seriously, Buxton or Market Drayton are possibles. Now it's been done at Wimbledon, I think it's only a matter of time before it happens again, particularly when 2 clubs are close together - like Stoke and Vale. If they moved to Welsh coast, they wouldn't have to change their name either ;D

Can't really think of anywhere Stoke would move for "better" facilities or a "greater" fan base ??? Surely they're the only reasons behind the MK move. AFC Stoke City would get my support I reckon

I wouldn't dream of going. Anyone who would wants hanging. Glenn, we can be almost sure that this Franchise bollocks will never happen to Stoke, but if it did, i think i love Stoke City too much to stay away, jokes aside, i admire the small amount of Wimble fans that watch them at MK for thier loylaty, not to the Franchise, but to thier club. Maybe another question would be ''Could you cut all ties with SCFC?''

I'd like to register my unwavering dedication should that day ever arrive. Someone else would have to provide all the money though. There used to be a Pricey who posted on here who claimed he would no longer attend Stoke games on some long forgotten matter of principle. Coincided with him moving to Uni in Leicestershire or the such like, I seem to remember! ;D ;D

Bogus,
I think the reason behind the MK move is to increase the value of a Trentham Lakes-style land development there that's also owned by the club's new owners - nothing to do with crowds.
Smeegs,
Yes of course I'd cut all ties with 'Stoke City' if they relocated to Blackpool or Northampton or somewhere. If I wanted to support someone else's team, I'd already be doing it, with Man Utd or somebody. More to the point, they would have cut all ties with me, and on that basis they could go fuck themselves.

Alright Mark, I was in S-O-T for two months before I went to Uni and managed to resist the temptation to go to home games.
However, I have been hopelessly addicted over the last month and a bit because I went to the Cardiff home game and haven't missed a league game (bar West Ham) since, even going to Watford on my bill!
I also didn't expect the board to sign the players they have done without coming out and saying 'aren't we great?' and all appears to be going fine at the moment.
An interesting thing is that when we were in the shit last season everyone was saying 'where are the board? why aren't they saying anything?' and yet now we are relatively safe in mid-table I've heardly seen any comment on them at all.
So in summary, over the last 8 months I have gone from a home boycott, to bearly giving a toss at all, to a true supporter every game saddo, and now into this phase which will possibly see me not attend another game until Norwich away on the 27th March (if I can't get a Crewe ticket)!!!
