Ricardo Fuller netted twice to extend the high-flying Potters' unbeaten run to six games but Evatt criticised their combative style.
The Seasiders centre-back said: "They play very direct football and they're going to bully teams in this division.
"They're all six foot plus and I'm sure Stoke are the most physical side we'll come up against this season.
"They are a team that play for set-pieces. But we should have done better against them."
POOR LAMB MENT TO BE A DEFENDER AND MOANING, WHAT A PUSSY ;D

To be fair, the article is fine. It is the headline which makes it sound as if he is having a moan. Sub editors don't you just luv 'em?

Spot on Forny. Unfortunately our West Brom editor can't resist any sort of Stoke dig on days when I'm off.
Very very sad but I don't suppose you can blame him for being bitter!! ;D

What exactly are we to do about this though? I mean should be employ a load of 5 foot weeds or something. Really what you can read into this is "Stoke are a big and better side". "We couldn't do anything about that, so we lost". "We're relegate ourselves back down to the Vale where's there's a lot of short-arse rubbish teams that we can steam roller each week ourselves."
I could live with opposition managers whinging all the way to May, I really could.

I would defy any manager in any league in the world not to wish for a better application and finish the way that Cort netted his goal on Saturday it was absolutely superb. Moan and whinge all they like Pulis has got his team almost doing exactly what it says on the tin.

This type of comment would gain a bit more notice had his side not conceded 3 goals against us.....
Opposition sides seem keen to point out that we're a 'one dimensional team', particularly when they've been on the receiving end of another Potters win.
Fact is, despite us having the one dimension, teams are still unable to contend with us. Surely with only one form of attack to contend with, everything with be 'kushte' and they can work us out and make adjustments accordingly?
Instead, it's sour grapes from Evatt, who is jumping on the bandwagon of 'Stoke are nasty and owwible'.

We all seem to be basking in the glory of being a very good team who are really difficult side to play against.
Long my it continue, about time Stoke earned and got this sort of respect!

I might be wrong, but didnt Harry Redknapp get praised on match of the day a couple of weeks ago for building a squad full of, to quote Alan Hansen "Big, strong, athletic players". They then said that he was such a brilliant manager because he had built this team to combat the modern way of football. Now why was he being praised and put up for the England job when he buys in expensive, foreign players who are big and strong. Yet, when we do it do we basically get accused of dragging down the quality of football in the league? ???
