have some great memories of our games against the Baggies , mainly from the early 90's . beating them 1-0 at the Vic in 1991/92 with thousands locked outside on a weeknight , then doing the double the season after , 4-3 at the vic, what a game , then 7000 of us going down the Hawthorns and doing em 2-1 , crowd was 29000, the largest at that level of football for summat like 20 odd years as I recall . www.soccerbase.com/head2.sd?team2id=2477&team1id=2744head to head stats

Oh yes, I love the guaranteed points from a game against the Baggies. That day you mentioned when we filled the away end is still one of my most memorable days following Stoke.
let's hope we get more renditions of "You'll never beat the City" next weekend ;D

yes i went down on a coach, seem to recall there was about 60 of them that day , stood on the arc of the open curve , remember people wearing tesco carrier bags to take the piss , TJ standing on someones shoulders over near the baggies fans in the pen to our left , open end and still a huge volume of noise from us , and empty seats in the main stand as they left early , and the loudest "jingle bells, jingle bells" with the rattling of keys I can ever remember ...
I fucking miss terraces

The 3-1 was also a classic! This Saturday could well be another!

Past results are completely irrelevant- should be a good crowd and hopefully a result of some kind. Not going to be easy at all- wouldn't be gutted if we drew but if we're going to be serious contenders we have to be looking to get at them like last season- no one it seems like to play against us at the moment which is a great compliment.
Head says 1-1

I've read reports which suggest they were impressive on saturday but i didn't get it myself. They looked an OK side but nothing to fear.
One problem we could have uis that witrh all their blarting about our physical approach and the perception that WBA play stylich carpet football we just try to muscle them out of the game and forget that we are capable of playing some decent football ourselves.

Past results are completely irrelevant not when you work with a bunch of jealous baggie fans and the pressure has got to be on them without a result against us for so long. nowt wrong with a bit of nostalgia either i remember an away game against em where we took loads of coaches, we were in the vic pub before the game and whilst we were stuck in traffic on the m6 nearly all the buses decamped to have a pee on the hard shoulder. literal pisser
