What do you all think of this fiasco??
I think its so unfair what they are doing to him, everyone is so biased and against him, especially the BBC!!!!!
Yes i know he took drugs and cheated, BUT he served his time, he did everything that was asked of him and he has worked so hard to get back to where he is now and that has taken some guts, hes tried american football and rugby and it hasnt worked out because he is a natural sprinter, he is ashamed of himself more then the public but he is trying to do right.
Give the bloke his chance, stop trying to push him out and let him prove all his critics wrong.
I know hardly anyone will agree with me as i will get all the he sets a bad example blah blah blah but i am 100% behind him and if he gets to beijing then i think he will turn a few heads!!

if he fancys learning how to play the left flank then he'd be a welcome addition for us, we need some pace in the side

I agree entirely.
When losers like Amy Winehouse do drugs the papers glamourise it so it looks cool.
Like you say, he has served his time and is trying to get his life back on track.
Give the guy a break.

he deserves a shot at going to bejing he wont win but in the end hes the fastest british sprinter around and if he is truly clean then he should be doubly ashamed as the last few weeks has proved he has so much pace and had he of been clean all his career i believe he would of gone down in british sprinting history as maybe the fastest ever sprinter as even now when hes on the downward spiral of his career hes gettin times of 10.00 dead which is really quite good for a sprinter of dwains age hope he gets the chance to go but really doubt he will

Part of him 'serving his time' is being banned from the Olympics for life.
So far from serving his time he is trying to twist his way out of it.
Ban him for life.

In an ideal world, all drugs cheats would receive lifetime bans...of course, we don't and never will and so the high-handed attitude of the BOA in ignoring the IOC seems an untenable position. Ultimately though, it matters not whether Chambers is there or not because with the times he's running, he'd be lucky to make the semis.

He got a 2 year ban, hes done it, other drug cheats such as rio get away with it, all forgotten and are now onto better things whereas chambers is being targeted, its unfair, if anything he is something for youngsters to follow, to show that you can turn things around after making a mistake, no ones perfect and im not saying its good to take drugs

He was given a 2 yr ban from all competitions but any one found to be a dopping cheat has a life time ban from the olympics.
Dwain knew this when he chose to cheat and is now dragging the name of athletics through the courts and quite frankly is an embaressment.
We also need to be a bit more aware of what is meant by drugs. Amy Wino takes elligal narcotics were as Dwain took performance enhansing drugs so these things are not comparable. It is still possible that he has long lasting benefits from these steriods which still gives him an unfair advantage
So the long and short of it is the prick should disapear and keep his gob shut.

On a slight tangent.
If athletes are found to have cheated by using drugs they are stripped of all their medals and in the case of the relays, so are their team mates. I believe, though I may be wrong, that this applies even if they are tested positive years later. Marion Jones was stripped of all medals back to 2000!
So heres my question...
Why was Maradonna never stripped of his along with the rest of the Argentinian team after he failed a test at the World Cup?
Just wondering out loud on a Monday morning.

I dont know wether or not we should take the give dwain the benefit of doubt route or that he knew there was a british olympic ban.
i make this next statement believing him NOW to be cleaner than clean!!!!
which ever side your on, if dwain chambers runs 9.89 and wins a gold medal i doubt if anyone of us will feel any national pride in him, he has laost that and will never be able to get it back.

Rio = drug cheat Dwain= drug cheat Ones being lauded as a captain for England, the others being crucified by all and sundry. ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? Rio MISSED a test. Dwain FAILED a test. Not the same thing chirper! I don’t believe anyone who FAILS a test should be allowed to compete again, there should be LIFETIME bans for those found guilty, end of.
