Hi All
Its probably been mentioned before on the old board but I am after some advise. I'm thinking of taking the missus to Barcelona for a dirty weekend, you know how it goes! But as part of it I want to take her to the Barcelona vs Levante match, she loves footie as much as me... always a bonus.
My question is, I have been looking around on the net and there are plenty of tickets at various prices from 40 euro on-wards but looking on the Barca website they seem to start from 18 euro. With it being a non glamorous fixture would you recommend getting the tickets from the stadium (the missus is fluent in Spanish)?
Also does anyone have any recommendations of where to sit, cat 3 is cheap but how fun actually is it sitting up in the gods?
Cheers all!

Apparently theres tickets from one section put to one side for tourists. I think its the middle tier near a goal.
Be prepared for the quietness.

I went to Barcelona-Valencia a couple of seasons ago - wasn't sold out, and Valencia were league leaders at the time.
You'll have no problems at all getting tickets for Levante on the day of the game. I bought my tickets from the ticket office at the stadium a day before and I sat up in the Gods behind one of the goals, EUR 50, not a great view or atmosphere to be honest.
The tickets for Levante should be cheaper, so I'd go for something like "Lateral, 1st or 2nd tier" for EUR 46.
You can buy tickets from the following:
‘La Caixa’ Servicaixa ATMs (all around the city)
FC Barcelona General Ticket Office (access 14): · Monday to Thursday, from 9.00 to 13.30 and 15.30 to 18.00 · Friday, from 9.00 to 14.30 · Saturday from 9.00 to 13.30 on weekends of matches played at the Camp Nou.
FC Barcelona Boulevard Ticket Office (access 7/9): · Monday to Thursday from 10.00 to 18.00 · Sundays from 10.00 to 14.15.
FC Barcelona Gol Nord and Gol Sud Ticket Offices: · Match days: from 11.00 until kick off booths Gol Nord (North Goal) and Gol Sud (South Goal).

Lived in Madrid for a year although a Barca fan. You'll definitely get tickets on the day for that game. As already said better to stay away from the tourist area. You'll get people trying to seel tickets in hotels/hostels etc but always at a premium. If you want to go with the nutcases sit behind the goal - some true lunatics but much better atmosphere...

Was it the Barca fans that lobbed a pigs head on the pitch once?

Was at Figo wasn't it ?
They do have an element who call themselves the Boixos Nois who tend to make themselves known for the high profile games.
