In my opinion (for what it is worth), this is miles better than Rivals
You can put multiple html links in your posts, as well as jpg and mms links (like I did with the match highlights)
It has a softer look on the eye and you can do a lot more with text formatting, smilies etc
An awful lot of people have already said that this is better than Rivals and it is a lot lot more flexible

I quite like it here andf the longer we stay the more I like it.
The only two things rivals has got going for it that this hasn't is that it is a network and we've got all the news items, match reports etc. Rivals is more than just a message board.

But this board doesn't pay the Oatcake anything either...
I assume it doesn't cost or it would have long gone. Also The Oatcake would have to pay if it wanted a new domain for news etc

Great board, the only downside is that most people who like to keep in touch at work as well as at home can't view the threads because of the more racy Avatar's. This means that the 9 to 5 posters are missing during the day and people with kids in the room are missing all the time. I know it's just a bit of fun but lets be honest the net is full of tit's! You don't need to log onto the oatcake to veiw them.

Wonder if we could have some pay per click adverts down the side that we would agree to click on now and again to generate some revenue
There is enough of us on here to make that feasible
Regarding the Match Reports and Features etc, that content could be added with links across the top of the board etc or a locked down seperate section where only admins could post

LIKE - the 'whistles and bells', but not the titty avatars, like the man said you can find them anywhere on the net. DISLIKE - splitting the posts into Stoke and non-Stoke threads. Overall - 7 out of 10.  |

Like - the split of Stoke and non Stoke stuff.
Dislike - the fact that it isn't possible to go straight from one thread to another without having to go to the top of the forum first.
Dislike the fact that it is just a message board and doesn't have a linked domain for News and Editorial content.
Dislike - the fact that, because it is not part of a network we don't get other fans (good and bad) joining in the banter.
I do realise that it is supposed to be temporary and so we can't expect a domain for news and stuff but the sooner things are sorted out so we can have some news and editorial, the happier I will be.

Well I can see your posts, no problem. Mind you if you hit the "back" button you are going back to what the board was like before you posted aren't you? Use the forum jump button link at the foot of the board.
Or, you could use the back button and then refresh the screen

I like it here, but would welcome a move back to a fully functional Rivals(esque) board.
A lot of my "cyberbuddies" have fucked off because a big pair of swinging jugs is likely to get noticed by their respective managers, so they don't come on as often. Also, as fornie said, i miss the banter with other supporters.
