Top work again BEG While i'm on - i get the feeling that you are a bit of a digital whizz - so could you tell me if you would be able to drop a .gif file in a standard email. i.e so the email launched with a simple animation "in it". I'm useless at the coding as you may have guessed. By the way your avatar has gone walkies.

Not in a standard email I dont think. It is only plain text
You would have to put it in a html email
You could either drop the gif into the email as an attachment
or
Upload your gif to a webserver and create a html email
Re: the avatar, thanks for that. The whole of the webserver where my hosting is has gone for a burton, hence so has my picture. It should reappear when the webserver is back online

An html one would be fine it needs to "play" the gif animation within the email - not as an attachment really. Is that hard to do? Is there an idiots guide around somewhere for such things? Was it a "wobbly" avatar by the way?

It wasn't a wobbly one! The method of html email can depend on which email application you are using This webpage is pretty good as it gives you more than one way to skin the proverbial cat Click Here

I must be doing something wrong, because when I come to play it, I first have to download a DRM, which I click on OK, then it comes up with "The Security upgrade cannot be performed because the server is not available. Try again later" This happens for every time I try to view highlights. Any suggestions

BoothenenderGaz: Highlights mate. didn't realise they came from two separate places. When I try to view highlights it directs me to virginmedia.

Highlights are from Virgin Media site There have been quite a few people saying that they are having problems with Virgin Media 9 times out of 10 they live outside the UK Try going to the site and see if it is the same there using there embedded player. It may be the media player you are trying to use Click Here

Thanks for the link, but all I get is a 10 second showing of the X Box 360, once I hit play. (at the top it does say Stoke vs watford highlights). Then it comes back up with the security upgrade about the DRM. I click ok, but nothing.
Thanks for trying to help mate

"Stoke are really starting to pull the screw!"
lol ;D
No wonder the guy is only commentating on an internet highlights site!
Seems a draw was a fair result, although I'm getting sick of seeing Ricky miss sitters ...
