If he didn't have a job and was sponging off the state he would have been allowed to stay, you can bet your arse.

That's why I think he should stay. He's made a living for himself, got a family. There are plenty of people allowed to stay who are on the dole, got a house given to them and they aren't being sent home.

menorcasi if he was a plumber or salesman and appealing yes he probably would be allowed to stay however his chances of winning an appeal being a footballer are much higher than if he were a plumber.
he's facing deportation for being here illegally not sure why that makes us a racist nation ?

Followyoudown, Why is he here illegally after spending 4 years here building up a life, family & a living for himself yet theres thousands allowed into the country legally who do nothing but come here and live off the state ?

Post by followyoudown on Dec 11, 2007 13:04:37 GMT
vic the home office granted him limited discretionary leave to stay rightly or wrongly they have revoked this therefore he is here illegally. there are millions of people born and bred in the uk who do nothing but live off the state legally so is your issue with immigration , unemployed people or unemployed immigrants ?

Anyone who's capable of coming over here and making a life for themselves without being a burden to the taxpayer should be welcomed.

I actually applaud the Home Office for their stance against illegals in this country, however, talk about horse and bolted. Why have they not means tested immigrants for the last 5 years, why are nationals allowed to live of the state when we have unskilled jobs in abundance that we cant fill, thus encouraging illegals and new europeans. Its all well and good to make a stance but we have to be consistant and maybe start by looking a little closer to home to solve a problem that perpetuates a problem.!!

call me a cynic but perhaps they did it, because he is slightly famous it will help as part of their campaign to look tough on immigration. It;s more effective than cold figures which cant be trusted and often are manipulated...
Shame I now think like this....manipulative barstewards....Brown out.

I'm sure he is paying the higher band of tax whilst he is here, so he is "putting iinto the coffers" unlike some people born here who are knocked up witha sprog when they are 16 just so they can sponge off us for the rest of their lives. They are the ones who should be sent to live and fend for themselves on the outer hebrides

Bangoura was allowed into the UK, four years ago, because his life was - temporarily - in danger in Sierra Leone (his father was leader of one of the "warring tribes" ... he's now dead).
As far as I know (like find me summut that says otherwise!) Watford did not bring Bangoura into the country to play football; but once he was here, they signed him as a "kiddie" (at 15 yrs old).
Originally he was granted temporary leave to stay for four years ... those four years are now up, and the immigration-tribunal (nowt to do with "football") found that he was no longer "in danger" in his home country. So it's back home you go (or it's appealing you go; take your pick)
As typed above in other posts, given the current climate of "spounging immigrants" it's likely this high-profile case will be resolved in the most politically-correct way (i.e. deport the fellow). There was a similar example a few months back - this time a "normal-bloke" not a footballer ... he got sent home too; despite the protests from local community and MP etc that it might still be dangerous for him. Bangoura's profile should at least mean he's easy to find for the Round-em-up-and-kick-em-out Department at the Home Office.
(Not that any of that should get in the way of a good racist argument, on here!)
;0)
ah
Edit: More tyops and speling mishtakes than you could chuk a stcik at!

As Wembley intimated, I think that this is a "cause celebre" to make it look as though this excuse for a government are getting tough on immigration. As an illegal immigrant who had been working legitimately (during his 4 years grace), Bangoura's an easy target to deport. Far easier to deport him than to find the thousands who are either falsely claiming benefits or working in the black economy, or the hundreds of illegal immigrants who are in British prisons ready to launch a dozen appeals at the taxpayers' expense upon threat of deportation. Home Office, get your priorities right. You are truly like my arse

So bayern, What you're saying is that we should let anyone in who is willing to work and pay tax. This would leave the UK in a worse state than it currently is already. As some one has already posted, it's probably time the government started getting tough on the people who are unwilling to work for no good reason.
Is it good that so many Foreign players are coming to play in the UK?
Is this not one of the main reasons that our National team can no longer qualify for tournaments?

I don't give a monkies if someone offers something to this country that people can gain from then let the buggers in. If they offer nothing then no fuck them. He's not doing any harm-he's earning a living and providing for his family. It's not harming anyone-what's the fuss?
And no our national team are wank pure and simple and play as individuals not as a team-so they lose-it has nothing to do with foreignors! The wank English manager didn't help either!

Bayern, the country is already on it's arse because the local's are un willing to take low paid jobs but the Polish, Albanians etc are. Crime is increasing due to the Foreigners coming in and the Youth on the Dole don't get enough to feed there entertainment needs. There will be trouble ahead, mark my words.

You said the locals won't take the jobs so we get foreignors in-who's fault is that? In my eyes the local dole dossers that's who. They should be forced to do the medial jobs rather than sit on their arses all day doing fuck all. It pissed me off when I heard someone the other day say they'd been paid to get out of prison early-this country is going to the dogs but sadly it's all our own doings. The dole dossers don't want to work so we have to get the foreignors in-simple as! Don't get me wrong the cunts that come over to this country and sponge piss me off too! But it's not just foreignors!
