I don't care what anybody says, Mama is NOT a striker! He's a very attacking minded midfielder! He does the job of a midfielder well, so... stick him in midfield and see what happens. Prolly won't happen now that we've got Diao who's too good not to play, mind, but in my eyes, Mama is either a midfielder or an impact, "Plan B" player.
Having Mama in the side, as much as I like him, encourages hoofball and as good as he may be in other areas he is not good enough because of his woeful record in front of goal. May sound harsh, but it's true.

You know Pulis had such an enormous hard-on for Hendrie it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Eustace, Delap, Mattaeo...........hes a better player than them all. With him and Diao in the team we could start playing through the midfield. Then the ball can be played to Fullers feet without needing the mama flick on, therefore taking the big donkey out of the team and allowing Creswell to move upfront with Fuller and bringing Phillips on the left. Simonsen Zakuani - Shawcross - Cort - Pugh Lawrence - Hendrie - Diao - Phillips Fuller - Cresswell Looks a whole lot better to me.... Sorry guy thats real crock of shyte you have posted, the best thing ever happened to Stoke was when he pisssed off after the bag of gold.

I am grateful for the role Hendrie played when he was first here last season but he chased the money, has been injured and hopefully we have moved on ( problem is, does Pulis ever move one from his small group of targets?)
By the way Mama is not a midfielder and if we did sign a creative central midfield player Parkin (lazy qunt that he may be ) might be a better bet up front if we played it on the ground.

Well Mama certainly isn't a striker, and if he's not a midfielder then he doesn't deserve to be playing!
Hendrie was absolutely legendary for us, and was a player who inspired us to keep the fucking ball on the ground. Quality playerr. And if he didn't perform after that, you know why, don't you? Because negative Pulis hammered any flair the guy had straight out of him and turned him into a VERY expensive workhorse!!!

I think that is a bit harsh on Pulis there Boother, Hendrie has always been a confidence player and was on the crest of a wave when he arrived.
However due to injury the second part of his loan wasn't too hot but that was down to him not Pulis, but then again I suppose you could say that it was Pulis standing with the smoking gun on the grassy knoll too.

I wouldn't mind seeing Hendrie back at all. Even when not playing well/injured other teams often double man marked him which created space for other players. He was always trying things and the fact that many of them didn't come off probably said more about the rest of the team not reading him.

He doesn't seem to be doing much for Sheffield United, does he?

I think he's injured or out of favour with Robson, or possibly both. Either way. he's not playing many games.

For the money he would want in wages there must be more consistent & just as talented players out there. ???

I wish they were Patrick Berger rumours - i'd have him back (and maybe TP would play him this time?)
