With the big school holidays looming me and the wife are trying to find ideas for cheap days out for the kids. We've already had our holiday so are looking for days out.Children are aged 13,12 and 5.All like outdoor activities. If you've been anywhere and would like to recommend it please post info here. Thanks in advance.

The sea life centre at Ellesmere Port nr Cheshire Oaks. If Chellster is referring to the Blue Planet aquarium then when we went 2 years ago I think it was 26 quid for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 kids)
Not into that sort of thing myself, but must admit I did enjoy it, and the kids were really impressed, especially when the divers fed the sharks in the massive see through aquarium
How are you anyway O.W.
Have a karma from CFG

swampy, I've done that crockytrail a couple of times, great fun, kids are a bit grown up now though the blue planet is a bit dear for an hours walk round I thought.

Ive not done the crocky but heard good thinks about it. I thought similar about the blue planet. Bit expensive.
We tied it in with atrip to the boat museum at Ellesmere Port.
Jodrell Bank used to be cheap

Agree with Dave.
We have some fantastic museums in this country.
We have had great days out at RAF Cosford and the liverpool maritime museum on the Albert docks. The war museum in Salford (just round the corner from old trafford) is also very good. Make use of them mate as they are free and very, very good.
