Just came across this lad- Razak Omotoyossi. He currently plays for Helsingborgs in Sweden, alongside Henrik Larsson. Still on only 22, he was joint top scorer in the Swedish Allsvenskan last season and is being linked to a number of clubs (namely PSV and Portsmouth). He may well be worth a pop at. He is being highly rated throughout the globe (although this is the first I've heard of him to be honest) and would probably fall in the £2-3 million category. Even if he's crap, at least he has a quality name and I think he would become the first Benin international to play in the Premier League (Laurent D'Jaffo played for Sheff Utd and Bury)! Anyone seen him play? www.tiraspoltimes.com/node/1821en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Razak_Omotoyossiuk.youtube.com/watch?v=9UH6wgjptuI

I think he caught the eye for Benin when the ACN was on earlier this year. Looks pacy and strong, I think the jury is still out on his finishing though. Pulis might fancy him though.

Chances are severely remote of signing him.
Unless there is speculation surrounding a move for him, it's just a post discussing a random player.

with all these "worth a look" threads we could save money and sack TP's scouting system and just pick players off this board to go and look at

16 goals in 25 matches. that would do for me. reckon he learnt a bit of larsson in training.

Helsingborgs IF are mulling over an offer for omotoyossi from an unnamed club, speculations in Swedish media is that it´s an Saudi Arabic club....
It´s seems he has a bit of an attitude problem, he didn't return to Helsingborg from international duty last week, claiming to have got malaria, something that haven't been established...

I live in Sweden and have seen this guy live a few times, also on the sports coverage each week. He is a good player, fast and does score goals. He links up well with Henke who holds up the ball well and releases balls for Omotoyossi to chase/shoot. Unfortunatly the Swedish top division is similar to the Scottish premier, 3 or 4 good teams and 5 or 6 very poor. A few teams of which Helsingborg are one are somewhere in the middle. As a squad player he would fit in, but is no where near the class of Fuller (who would score 30 goals in 25 games in Sweden) and would need a Henke Larsson style player (Mama) to play alongside, not a Fuller. 1 million quid..ok, more... no thanks. Just my opinion

Well, it looks like we will have to pay more than £1 million so we can banish him to the bin before we have started!

we should be lookin more towards scandinavia an players of this ilk in my opinion, a couple of unheard ofs is never a problem, every team has done it in the prem with success,
the likes of Tore andre flo, morten gamst pedersen who were both relatively unknown
u never know we could get simialr for decent money 2

Is it me or are 'Strikers' the 'New Centre Backs', which incidentally replaced 'Portsmouth Players'. Or TP is the new Colin Wanker?

Centre-backs are a bit passé.
Forwards are where it's at. It is 2009 after all.

its Larson that makes it easy for strikers there, luton shelton was a big hit there then did not display the same goal scoring apetite when he made it over to the epl. I doubt razak will be any different.

He's a bit of a tiddler, in Pulis striker terms, too.
5' 9 1/2"

He's a solid 5' 9 1/2 though. His thighs are bigger than Adby's. Just been watching some vids defenders bounce off him
