wonder what the odds are on Walleys Quarry Ltd and its parent companies going into voluntary liquidation in the next few weeks?

For a few months before I’d heard of it I’d notice the smell whilst on the ring roads around castle and I started to think there must be a dead cat rotting under the bonnet.
Regularly smell it from penkhull. Can’t imagine how bad it must be for people far closer.
It’s a scandal that it’s been allowed to go on for so long. Hope whoever is responsible for allowing it gets sued into oblivion but I won’t hold my breath.

As Flea says you can smell it in Hartshill when the wind blows in the right direction.

John Prescott personally overruled the initial objectiona I believe

I’m on Westbury Park and it’s started reeking over here recently, if I commute to work by going past Keele Uni it genuinely makes you heave.
If the winds blowing in the right direction you can pick it up in Cliffe Vale as well, it should never have been allowed to get this far and the stink will be there for years still whilst the site is cleared out.
