Evening all,
Strange one but just seeing if anyone has been to Leipzig before, and if so where did you fly to?
I’ve got tickets to the Leipzig vs Villa game, but can’t get direct flights to Leipzig.
I’m currently looking at flying to Prague and getting the train over, as Berlin is 3x as expensive.
Hopefully someone can help with other routes!
Thank you 442

Hi,
I went with Stoke when we played there a few years ago.
Fly into Nuremberg, then got a bus.
Then day after game went to Prague to fly back.
Others flew into Berlin and got the bus is my recollection.
Ryanair do a route from Stansted to Leipzig, but I don't think it's daily.
Hope that helps

I’d say Prague is the best value option.

How long did the bus take from Nuremberg? I’m thinking of fly to Prague, spend the night there then bus is 3 1/2 hours to Leipzig. Night in Leipzig then back to Prague for the flight the day after the game. What was the stadium like? Thank you!

Stadium is awesome… the old set up used to host rallies during WW II and it seems they’ve just plonked a stadium in the bowl so to speak… The walkways go from the lip of the bowl to the stadium and if you go to the front of the stadium they have some of the old brick work from years gone by and big photos of what it was like…… it’s a cavernous place and the away paddock located in the corner furthest away from the dugout on the far side, plus, what I can remember the currywurst sausages are killer !!!
