Heard that tale of the American who was taken ill there and when his blood tests showed up THC in his system he was arrested and currently doing time in prison there. Thought after that I'd give it a swerve 😆 |

We flew through Dubai on our way to Nepal and the airport put me off massively. Was about £45 for two bagels with cream-cheese, two bags of crisps and a couple of juices. Was disappointed in the main terminal but wasn't really sure what I was expecting or if we were even in the big shopping bit.
Instead we thought we would transfer to our terminal for the onward journey to Nepal expecting more of the same but that instead told it's own story. Bus travelled what seemed absolutely fucking miles to the other side of the airport and instead of glitz and glamour it was a proper shithole with a dodgy looking Subway, half arsed news agent and rows of uncomfy benches. On looking at the departures destinations it suddenly dawned on my why - this was the workers terminal!

I have been there on the way to India and the runway was that big it took us about 45 minutes to taxi in and we almost missed the flight so don't remember much about the decor. Doha is worse though, Mrs went for a vape and they were all on the opiates and it nearly knocked her out. |

Dubai's fine & a great state, read the rule book before you go, learn the do's and dont's and jobs a good'n.
I live by the motto of when in Rome do as the Romans do when visiting foreign countries (pity it isn't reciprocal with regards of visitors to the UK in some cases though!)
Generally unless you're proper flouting the laws or rules you'll be fine. Having a snitch within the family/friendship group such as this is always going to end in tears though!
