Goin to watch Mark and Lard at Crewe Lyceum tonight and hoping for a couple pints beforehand. Any recommendations, never drank in Crewe and google maps street view doesnt show it in very good light for pubs................

Toms Tap and Brewhouse is pretty good but for some reason is closed on Tuesdays

Any recommendations, never drank in Crewe and google maps street view doesnt show it in very good light for pubs................ There's a reason Google maps doesn't show it in a good light ... there's hardly a decent pub in Crewe at all. Avoid the bars in the Lyceum they are rip off city, the pub right next door (the Cheese Hall) has super cheap prices but that is it's only redeeming feature. Agree with Badge the Borough Arms might be your best bet but don't have any great expectations.

Get yourself into The Express, lovely little boozer before having a wander down to The Imperial. You won't be disappointed, you'll be appalled.

Go Nantwich before and after Sounds like a ball ache for a couple of pints tbh. Crewe has enough to keep you occupied. And Nantwich isn’t great anyway

The market next to the Lyceum has a bar and is good for food. Not sure if it would be open tomorrow night but worth a look.

Ended up in Alberts Bar and Cheese Hall - both were horrendous, no trouble or anything - and can imagine there are some proper characters. The beer and surroundings were awful to be fair. Lyceum is lovely though and Mark and Lard were superb. Any suggestions for Buxton next as taking the wife at beginning of December........
