Technically have we seen a better one?
Ever?
If Messi or Bellingham does that it’s global headlines stuff.

It was a real class finish. I really like him and would love to see him start in the league games.

But he’s Phillips so I could have said Phillips’ goal but instead I think Phillips Goal as in The Phillips Goal is grammatically acceptable. Discuss.

It was a great instinctive and improvised finish, but I’m not sure it’s technically, one of the best ever.

Phillips’ goal was technically as good. I’m still not sure how he actually did it.

I think that a barometer to measure this by is Olofinjana’s goal v Arsenal.

Would rather he tucked away one or both of the much easier chances he had at Sheffield United.
Great finish though and he’s got loads of promise. He was really well thought of at Blackburn so hopefully he’ll get an uninterrupted run in the team now.
He’s quick which enables us to play a bit higher up the pitch which can only be a good thing.

It was a nice flick.
Not sure we are in 'Goal of the season ' territory here.

It was a great flick and a brilliant piece of improvisation but somehow I don’t see it as a high level *technically*… not sure I can articulate why but I could name about ten goals just by Bojan and Shaqiri that I think were better technical goals

I couldn't believe it, was a great shot period. As far as "goal of the season" they won't award that to a Stoke player even if he used his left bollock to flick it in from 20 yards out, knocking down the keeper in the process. But it was a great instinctive attempt that went in.
Edit; Oh...you were talking "goal of the season" for us. Maybe...but I truly hope it has more competition as the season progresses.

It was a nice flick. Not sure we are in 'Goal of the season ' territory here. It was certainly a better "Goal of the Season" type than the one Arsenal fans contrived to win for their team one season when beating Charlie Adam's superb effort from his own half against Chelsea.

It was a nice flick. Not sure we are in 'Goal of the season ' territory here. It was contortionist black magic. I think he may have performed some kind of time slip where he slipped through a glitch in the matrix. Goal of the century.

Alright smart ass 😛 And if it was Phillip it would be Phillip’s goal. But he’s Phillips so I could have said Phillips’ goal but instead I think Phillips Goal as in The Phillips Goal is grammatically acceptable. Discuss. When using a plural noun, the apostrophe goes after the s. For example: “The squirrels’ nuts. But Phillips isn’t a plural noun so the correct use of an apostrophe in this instance would be "Phillips's goal."

It was poor defending all around mate for their header agreed. Would much rather him starting in defence for us though all the same.
