Has it always been opposite the old library in Hanley, opp john street car park? Father in law says it used to be at another location in Hanley.....I disagree. I've only ever known it as opposite john street.

Maybe your father in law is thinking of The Midland snooker club in Tontine street? Reardon was always there in the 70s (early 80s?) before Reardon's was opened.

There was also Rileys American Pool and Snooker on the opposite site of the library across from the museum.
It was demolished years ago when they started building the Smithfield site. It would have stood between One Smithfield and the Hilton Hotel (you can still see it on Google Street View if you get the exact spot and change the date back to April 2009).

In the same building as Regimes if I remember correctly.

In the same building as Regimes if I remember correctly. I remember coming up to Stoke for the Stoke Vale derby with some mates from London. The game was something like a 11am kick-off and most of the boozers in Hanley and Newcastle were shut on the Saturday night. So we had a night out at Riley’s.🤣

Used to frequent this place as only place that would show NFL in the 90s. It was called The Locker Room. Used to be there every Saturday Night and there would always be a 20 man brawl at the end. Was like a meeting point for rival gangs of lads/hooligans. Great days mind, 3 bottles for a quid as I recall
