Drop junho. The weak link this season. Consistently poor , no end product at all. Million cannon and koumas up top. Moran in the 10. Burger and another in midfield. At the back- I don’t rate a single one of them a sea of complete averageness. Harsh on Phillips, that

That's a ridiculous assessment of his game last night. Why is it? Genuinely if I hadn't seen the team sheet, I wouldn't have known that he was playing until the 2nd half. He also ducked out of the way of the shot that led to their winning goal which will never, ever, go down well with me whoever the player is. It's totally unacceptable, particularly so late in the game when it should have been bodies on the line whatever the cost. I've just commented elsewhere that we have to be careful at the moment not to be overly negative about absolutely anything but by the same token there is a danger that we cling to positives that simply aren't there. Seko had a much better second half but the overreaction to his performance is pretty ridiculous in my opinion. He was OK. No more, no less. There were far better performances than his on the night. He had over twice as many touches than Sol who you rated higher. I can't remember him ducking out of the way of a shot. Have you got a clip? You said he looked like a prize winner in the first half which is rubbish. He did absolutely nothing wrong, was solid positionally and when he had the ball he passed it well. He wasn't amazing but he certainly looks promising and we should be praising him rather than coming out with shit like that.

It will be Vik Wilmot Rose Gibson Stevens Burger Moran Million Koumas Cannon Bae What I'd play Vik Wilmot Phillips Rose Stevens Seko Burger Moran Million Cannon Koumas Don't disagree with that> I still think we lack a bit of athleticism and would like Sol in there, but Seko's second half showing was positive. Would not mind your team at all.

Derby sit 23rd in the away table with a -6 GD. I hate this term, this early on - but this one is a must win. If he loses this, his position (and JW's) becomes increasingly untenable.

Yeah it's a tough call between the two but if Derby come and sit in a low block and try to keep it tight and let us have the ball I feel Seko's use of the ball might benefit us more than Sol, I certainly wouldn't be against Sol starting over him though. It was hard to leave Bae out too, I think he's slowly refinding his form but we need an option off the bench and the others are ahead of him at the minute imho.

Without wanting to put too much pressure on it, this is a huge game.
Win, it'll ease the pressure and give us some breathing space.
Draw, meh. Disappointed.
Lose? Confidence in everything will be at an all time low and you wonder where the hell we go next.

If you don't see him duck out of the way, you are blind! You are way too sensitive. I've said he did OK and got better as the game wore on. His involvement in the goal seemed to give him an injection in confidence which is great for him and hopefully great for us. As I said to Jimmy above, reading the superlatives that are being lavished on him, I think I've missed out on the full debut of the Japanese Modric. Begs the question why he's been gathering splinters in his arse for so long really.

He's been bedding in Dave. Training with the squad and being patient. We can't underestimate the upheaval of the move and culture shock.

Been a big change moving to Stoke for the lad so understand his slow introduction but seeing him in the flesh last night for the first time he was very impressive both in and out of possession which maybe gets missed watching on TV. 85% pass completion and excellent awareness and shape when Southampton had the ball. Looked a cut above Thompson in ability and technique and was very animated in encouraging his teammates. I saw some Bojan in him last night, quick feet, good balance and vision. Looking forward to seeing more...

I can see where you're coming from Dave, re: Seko, but it was a tough game to debut on, not much of the ball, even when he got it so few options, all in all I think it was as good a performance as we could expect, given those parameters.

Derby sit 23rd in the away table with a -6 GD. I hate this term, this early on - but this one is a must win. Or alternatively the oft use phrase on here. “Here comes the Stoke charity bus”. They may not be 23rd after Sat.if the usual Stoke City charity case turn up.

The fuck you starting Gibson for? Hes the captain, rose looks like hes got a few flappy and floppy mistakes in him. Gibson has been poor. Too slow both defensively and with the ball at his feet. Play one of the youngsters who is confident on the ball. All of our experienced CB's are not comfortable driving forward (Wilmott is ok occasionally but he has other issues).

Derby are very good from set pieces which is a big concern with our lack of height. We need our best defensive headers of the ball on, problem is I’m not really sure who that is.

It'll probably be a different starting XI and formation from last Saturday.
One thing, they have a brilliant record from set pieces, think they're way ahead on goals scored than anyone else. Hopefully that's the key stat Pelach's stats guy shows him.
So we need to counter that, not give away stupid free kicks of corners like we did v Bristol City.

NP needs a result on Saturday, that is for sure, every game he doesn't, the pressure will increase. Not sure if it continues, how long the powers that be will let it. Bottom three at the international break possibly?.

Can’t we find a place for Dixon instead of the other befuddled idiots…? If Rose, Wilmot or Gibson gave away a similar penalty to Dixon you'd be going mental. He's young and inexperienced so is more of a risk.
