Seko was the worst of the 3 midfielders today. Right to take him off so many sloppy passes. Burger much improved, was it penalty was it a foul for our winning goal, who cares, although the guy that was “ fouled should not have been on the pitch. His tackle was worthy of a red on its own never mind a yellow which he was already on. That’ll be the Seko that is being praised to the hilt on every thread this afternoon 🤦♂️ calm down mate he had a good game bur i thought Moran and Burger had better games. He did give the ball away more than once, did you not see that?

Derby lacking in abilty, but their record shows they are well drilled. Would have been a travesty not to have beaten them. Strange decision to take Seko off so early. Manouf needs to learn when to release the ball, could have played someone in at least twice

See that Prutton predicted a 1-0 Derby win. Hope he keeps doing that.

Two poor teams today - suspect we might end up seeing that as a vital three points in the relegation fight as the season goes on.

The only rational reason for taking Seko off, would have been his lack of minutes since arriving, from that perspective prudent and sensible.

Nah. A definite second half lull and until we scored their goal for them it was as easy as it could be. Agree that our play in the final third leaves a lot to be desired at times and our lack of composure is utterly maddening, but we created enough chances to have won by 3 or 4 despite that. Derby were piss poor. Taking Seko off was a head scratcher, especially on 55 minutes, but we won and hopefully he’ll realise he probably got away with it and won’t do it again. Can’t remember many times the opposition take one of their better players off for no apparent reason. I've been critical of NP but we deserved that today. I'll certainly get on side with him if we continue to show the character we have this week. I thought we were lucky to get a win as it happens. Commentators thought the same tho that's not worth much. We were a nothing team in the second half, 2 very poor sides, and the mistake was one of those we saw weekly that is now creeping back into our play. It really feels similar to Nathan Jones times, but somehow different 😅🤷♂️ (he's Spanish). A win is a win, but against any team with quality we will probably see 28 shots against again. Happy first half, second woeful.

It's the usual on here if we win the opposition are wank, if we lose we are wank as well as the opposition.. can only beat what's in front of us, I have seen us lose this type of game more often than not..

Dreadful game played out by two dreadful teams. Lucky to get the win. Bizzarre management taking the extra midfielder - who had given us some control in the game- off. Like for like would’ve been fine. Never felt so down after a win. Are you for real?

Unfortunately I’m not feeling at all optimistic. Derby very poor and our work in the final third was league 2 standard. Manhoef is going backwards. Taking Seko off was absolute madness. There was no need to do it at all. We were the better team but Derby were dreadful. We’re still way off in my opinion A welcome win but an unconvincing one imo. The only unconvincing bit was the score line. Should have been out of sight.

If we had scored 4 today it wouldn’t have been outrageous

Some negative folks on here isn't there. We won a vital game. It wasn't absolute shite like someone has said. Several very decent individual performances. Come on lads and lassies let's get behind this new regime. I'm feeling very optimistic. I don't think I agree with many of your posts but weirdly do with this one. We were not absolute shite 😆 What's so weird about agreeing with my post.?

He made two mistakes which happens to any player, he’s tidy, keeps possession when under pressure, always looking to get forward unlike Thompson who’s always looking go sideways or backwards!

I could suggest bottom half teams are much of a nothingness and that's exactly what we looked is it not? A nothing team? I mean we won but we could easily have drawn that. We certainly didn't dominate.

A 3 goal match but only 1 in open play. A penalty, a bizarre own goal and a lucky header.
Not the most inspiring match but 3pts is 3pts
We need to do much better, at least on this form we may stay up.

For what it's worth I thought it was a good performance today. There was some really positive individual displays, Junior was massively improved, Seko looked good, Cannon got another goal on the board.
Even Pep couldn't turn us into Man City overnight. It was an improvement and a positive result, a step in the right direction.

I guess you actually had to be there. 😉

It was an improvement and a positive result, a step in the right direction. That's what I saw. Remember thinking that I could see what Pelach was trying to get us to do. Nothing wrong with maintaining possession if it's in THEIR half! LOL I was like "Oh, NOW I get it!" How we didn't add a third goal, I don't know and that was my only source of frustration. Our defense is improving incrementally. And we gifted them a goal, after considering some other comments on here and remembering what I saw - I do believe that it was a shared responsibility between Gibson and Vik. But I still HATE HATE HATE that back pass crap to the keeper. I was never taught that, it's negative, it's chickenshit, it's garbage and only an opportunity for a mistake. Just saying, none of my coaches would have tolerated weak crap like that. (Learn your fundamentals, handle the damned ball and ffs, take on your damned man!) It's an American Football bias, but criminy! Field position IS a thing! But that's just me and I'm a damned Yahkee, so go figure. Feel free to ridicule me as you see fit. IDGAF

Best performance was from Gibson ........ he deserves the MOM award for scoring for both sides..... he's scored with his head and shoulder and maybe next week he can score again with his knees and toes .... Good win though. We are getting better each time too.

i can’t be the only one who has no real hope for this squad? Squad has got some very good young talent in it just wants knitting together with a few additions that hopefully will get in January, they look fitter more resolute and look like they want to buy in to what pelach wants so hopefully keep improving week by week.

Always great beating Derby. A team whom seemed set to forge for set pieces. Some good individual performances and a good overall example of just keeping it up for 90mins! So often we just drop the intensity. Cannon dropped well at times for some nice touch and go’s (some strong defensive work to), seko was engaged and forward thinking, burger sweped well infront of the back line and pushed forward in good moments (played a role rather than sometimes seeming a little loose), Philips is very welcomed. Keep gibs and rose on rotation I’d say and wilmot out wide. Junior seemed to rise in confidence as the game went on. Great to see him just have a go and run at the opposition - when he ponders he seems to get a little lost. Og was a shame but it happens and hey, we did what we needed and found a response. Oh and Stevens probably had his best game for me - beat folks, linked intelligently. I agree with others - shame he ain’t a bit younger. A good day I’d say, a performance where we did what we needed to do (from a team that has so often just failed to do so when it was right there for the taking)

Very happy to see us win. Sitting behind the goal for the winner I must admit I didn't celebrate until I saw the ref telling the Derby players to go away. It looked to me like something I used to watch on World of Sport at 4 p.m. on a Saturday. The only thing missing was an old lady running on to bash Junior "Giant Haystacks" with her handbag. However, I have to say the replays on the TV don't look as bad as they did from my seat.
