I wonder if that’s why nothing is said about Lawal’s injury?

Wouldnt be surprised.
Stoke were the club who managed to bring in the 'Undisclosed' fee term ruling in, in relation to none publishing of player transfer fees.
So being forced or allowed to not have to disclose full extent of players injuries may actually be something to protect players injury details being released, but also keeps opposing teams guessing aswell I guess..

A part of me wants to cry 'woke nonsense' but at the end of the day why should anyone need to know the medical issues of someone they don't even know? I think the injured individual can give consent for the release of any information if they want and that's how it should be.

Sir Alex Neil was ahead of the curve on this one. Very coy.
All a fan wants to know is how long are they out/when will they be available.
Half of the sports science is complete and utter grift anyway.

People suggesting GDPR is woke reminds me of Stewart Lee saying there’s an entire generation of people who have political correctness confused with health and safety legislation.

Basically all clubs have stopped giving much details about injuries for a while now so wouldn’t surprise me

I didn't know this. When was this, who was the player and why were we so keen to keep it a secret do you know? This was the report I remember reading. It's a bit strange as we won the case despite it being Barnsley who were peeved that we announced the fee we'd signed Liam Lindsay for. Reads that although we were fine in what we'd done majority of transfers since have been 'undisclosed', so we were more inadvertently involved in it I guess by sounds of it. Sounds abit like Barnsley got the ball rolling, we won at court but thought what Barnsley were suggesting wasn't a bad thing afterall! Every transfer fee 'undisclosed' since Stoke City won court case www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-transfer-undisclosed-fee-9423488#ICID=Android_StokeSentinelNewApp_AppShare

I'm actually surprised no one has suggested we don't play 5 at the back because it's woke. But I suspect it won't be long before the anti woke brigade start to see the tendrils of woke infiltrating the FA coaching manual. You have to be vigilant to remain completely unaware.

It just meant being aware of social injustices and inequalities and trying to rectify them. What sort of fucked up planet do we have when some people want a fairer world?

For me calling someone woke is like calling someone a know all. Who wouldn't want to know everything? ..but being a smug know all is not a nice trait, nor is being woke.

In years to come players will have to remain anonymous in the interests of GDPR compliance.
They will all wear balaclavas to assist with this.
No squad numbers…
No more criticism of team selections.
No transfer speculation.
No image rights or royalties.
Players will only be known by the match day numbers…1-11 plus subs
Anyone could be on the pitch from match to match…
It will keep things interesting.
Anyway, as long as it’s a good match, you don’t really need to know who the players are!
GDPR rules… 🙂
