Shawcross Winless again for the U21’s. Has he won a game yet? Must’ve managed 15-20+ games by now. He took over last season. Is he the right man? When Alex Morris was in charge of the team we seemed to win most weeks.

No Lowe, Tezgel and Sidibe for most of this season, no Dixon until the last couple of games obviously big players for the under 21’s despite their young age.
Performances matter more than results although it’s obviously nice to win as well, I haven’t seen us play enough to comment on that regard though…..

Yeah i was kind of giving himthe benefit of the doubt with missing key players etc, but it feels like its getting a bit ridiculous now. Every time i check its a loss or a draw. We either need to get some new academy lads in or maybe give someone else ago? Cant just lose every week. Also didnt we invest quite heavily on academy lads this summer? Chibueze, Gromek, Matondo etc

Not really all his best players have gone to the first team or on loan somewhere.

When Alex Morris was in charge of the team we seemed to win most weeks. He's becoming the Gareth Bale of Stoke City. For long time Bale didn't win, then suddenly he exploded and became one of the top players in the world. Don't see Ryan becoming one of the top coaches in the world, though.

Just wondered if the poster has watched the U21s? Results are not the biggest priority necessarily at that level. Player development is the biggest factor. It's not like the first team.
Are playing players who have less experience, or younger than other teams? That might be a factor.

The last two times I've seen the U21's the opposing teams have included some experienced players. Nick Powell played for Stockport for half the game. The are young and will learn. Dixon, Bickerton and Lupsic stand out. Work in progress
