There have been some decent episodes involving ex Stoke players/managers. Macari, Pulis, Duberry, Taggart, Griff all spring to mind.
There have been some brilliant episodes involving some absolute characters from other clubs too. Andy Johnson of West Brom is well worth a listen. Like Jimmy Bullard on speed.
The lads have made a very good job of the podcast!

The Carruthers boxer shorts story never gets old. There’s a Nello line in Marvellous, something along the lines of “yours went on first, they’ve been rubbing right up my undercarriage”, said with great glee, which pops into my head without warning every now and again and never fails to make me chuckle

I think that was the assumption although I feel like I heard someone clarify that it wasn’t as simple as that.. stories got mixed up or something. Not sure though

I guessed it was Foley. I thought the Scouse accent was a clue. I did ask Malcolm on here at the time but he remained tight lipped

The Glenn Little one when he was at Burnley is very good. Him and Stan Ternant in a constant ding dong!
Malcolm Christie's is also a good watch. Less the humour but a great story of a rise from non league and him keeping a level head and not quite believing what had happened to him. Really decent bloke he appears to be. And how he was treated when he got a serious injury was horrendous.

I went straight to go see if any of his vids are on YouTube, thankfully, there are many.

I've been a Stokie for nigh on 75 years and hand on heart, I can honestly say that the most enjoyable time as a supporter was when Lou was the manager first time around. The man is head and shoulders above most people as far as I'm concerned.
OS.

Bottom line is we were third tier and beating really poor sides forvyhe most.
Peschisolido wasn't sold without his knowledge, that myth, he had plenty of time to find a replacement and didn't. Messing around with agents etc, let's not go there
He did a good job but the best manager ever etc...absolutely not . I guess if you're winning games is all that matters at time no matter what level
He did a very good job but let's not get carried away
We lost our last 7 away games , scoring once.

Given the direction the club were heading and the money available to him, creating a club record for games without defeat and actually winning the division, he’d probably be the best be the in my lifetime. I was born the year we won the league cup so missed the Waldo years. Other than the year we got to the cup final and a couple of years under Hughes it’s been pretty tough to be a Stoke fan.

Stockport we’re on the up won a couple of promotions and embarrassed a lot of teams at the time, and we did have one of our best players sent off, plus Stockport we beat at Wembley and we were Champions to Bolton? Yes I realise Bolton went on to gain promotion again, but Lou left for Celtic and we sold Stein, they kept Koumas, Stubbs, and the free scoring Mcguinnley and Coyle Like I said, anyway, my opinion remains unchanged.

Was a hell of alot went on behind the scenes Bolton signed those players and were able to keep them due to their success . They also sold their top scorer to Bradford and lost Walker through injury before Celtic signed him

50k on Vince, 100k on Steino and a litlle bit on Stigger….wouldnt have thought we were spending much more than anyone else initially
Id imagine when Vale joined us down there in 92 theyd spend more on the l8kes of Swan etc
Given where we were in the summer of 91, he did a remarkable job in his first spell

I don’t like hearing Lou swear so unnecessarily like that. It seems forced and not befitting of the man himself.
Think I’m getting old

No he didn't Norwich offered us Sheron as we wouldn't sell Scott until we got a replacement . MO'N wanted Scott who he managed at Wycombe
