Joey Barton but he loved it
Taking a corner he just sat on the small and soaked it up
Mentioned Trevor Aylott of Bournemouth before giving it to the paddock and actually offering a lad on whilst warming up .
He was actually warned by a policeman just a few seconds before the ball went out of play and he hid it behind his back.
Bad move..a rather angry Lee Sandford wanted the ball and Aylott dropped it behind him...he soon followed and Sandford sent him flying on his arse before taking a throw in. A couple of lads tried to climb the fence and Aylott went back to the dugout. Sensible thing to do.

I had a friend from uni who played 400+ games as a lower league journeyman. One of his clubs was Huddersfield. He told me all the sub's hated warming up on the touchline at the Vic because of the abuse they used to get!

Simon Royce being attacked by a bloke out of the Boothen has to be up there. Think that lad died didn't he? I met him somewhere, can't remember where and someone pointed out was him who attacked the keeper. Was quite surprised as seemed quite laid back. Yeah, in a car accident, him and another fella who were passengers. He was lovely to chat to, but clearly tapped.

Yeah, in a car accident, him and another fella who were passengers. He was lovely to chat to, but clearly tapped. Yep, seemed a decent fella. I think it may have been in the Marquis pub, someone I knew I was chatting to and was with him and they mentioned what he did.

Arnie gave it back on the pitch, as did Garth . He got some serious abuse, one I can remember but won't post on here . Got a huge laugh from the paddock as well Was a fella behind me yelling vile stuff at McClean until I last saw him being held by the throat, Darth Vader style on the concourse by lad from Dublin who came to the odd game and he oddly never appeared at his seat for the second half . Shame a few on here didn't dare share their views in public. 😉 Arnie did indeed shive Scholes “ that’s ambition “ back where the sun dont shine but he did huge exceptiona nd surprise when subbed wen someone in the book then paddock threw a Stoke shirt with his number on on the floor infront of him , he seemed genuinely shocked and pissed off and that triggered another Hughes moment

Folk do it in all walks of life, I would say a main reason to switch jobs What did his so called ambition achieve at West Ham? Won nothing and played less than 50 games for them. Hughes signed him for peanuts and we sold him for over 20 million. Quite a Hughes moment there

I was at that one, and to be fair their keeper took it good heart. When we scored our 6th and sang 'Gypo, gypo what's the score?' he started counting the goals on his gloved fingers.

Not a player but Wenger got a lot of stick.
One game he would not get out of the dugout he was getting so much abuse.
I am sure if heever returned it would recommence 😬

Quitter when we played away at Burnley and the dressing rooms were in that away end was mental. Fans hanging off the side to give him both barrels.
Danny Rose also mentioned was an atmosphere of hate against the little twat.
Jason Roberts for just being a complete cunt.

David Speedie at the Vic .. Think he threw the ball at a ballboy Defo this for me. He didn't to throw it he belted it as hard as he could in anger at the refs whistle going against him It hit a little lad, 10 maybe or younger,in the face and his dad tried had to be restrained from going on the pitch to deal with Speedie Think police came over? Speedie did look genuinely contrite to be fair, would like to think he and Albion apologised in person after but don't know Something like that anyway Night match, might have been an Autoglass game? Low key anyway and then crowd went nuts

I was in Boothen, and although we gave Speedie loads, it was like Arnie or Demba Da they got on with the game and they enjoyed it too I think. Like other poster added Speedie was apologetic so were WBA

Obviously not a player but I witnessed the late Alan Ball getting slaughtered by Stoke fans when he was manager at Exeter.
Found this piece about it on the internet...
“The ‘coffee thrown at Alan Mullery’ brings to mind the best rhyming use of the word ‘beverages’ in a football song. The late Alan Ball, when manager at Exeter City, had hot drinks thrown over him by irate Stoke fans. This led to the song (to the tune of Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen) …
Alan Ball, Alan Ball, he manages the Reds Alan Ball, Alan Ball, attacked with beverages Oxo and tea Soup and coffee Alan Ball, Alan Ball, Alan Ball”
Although I was there, I don't recall the song though.

Also Barry fry and Karen Brady 😄 Barry Fry was brilliant ,took it well. Did a night in the Waddo suite with Big Ron and Nige. Was great As was Karen Brady to be fair. We played then in the Autoglass think it was and she'd been car jacked that week. Her Porsche had been stolen at the lights that week in Birmingham. She came into the bar and someine shouted- need a lift home ,Karen? She took it really well That was the night Pesch told the Blues fans in the bar that he was going back to Blues before the deadline to put that rumour to bed that he was sold last minute

Kris Commons always gets cited, but he was just gently booed by a sub-capacity crowd and we were not nearly as hostile back then. He did totally buckle under the pressure, though.
Wright-Phillips against Man City is probably the high point for vitriol that I can think of.
