If we win 6-1 every week they can smash my mum across the jaw with a frying pan at full time for all I care. Confession: I can't quit laughing at this post!

What this club has desperately needed for years is for unity between fans/players/coaching staff. If this is just a small gesture to help to build the blocks to get to where we want to be then I'm all for it.

I get why people would think it’s cringy but if it helps unite the fans I don’t see a problem with it. Like others have said, it’s done by clubs all over Europe and definitely hasn’t done Liverpool any harm during the Klopp era.

My response wasn't a serious one either 🫣 Voicenotes should be allowed to avoid confusion I swear. It was the thumbs up mate 🤦🏻♂️ I took it as sarcasm in the wrong way 🙃😂 I didn’t think you were the sensitive type tbh 😁 I'm not sensitive but having everything scrutinised forced onlooker off this forum and it's not exactly the best environment at times 🤷🏻♂️

I don't have a problem with it in context. Pelach had had a disastrous start and the team were jeered off and abused at the end of the Middlesbrough game with you're not fit to wear the shirt chants etc. Regardless of whether it was deserved or not, things like that piss off the players and drives an even bigger wedge between the fans and the players.
Supporter sentiment before the Portsmouth game was as low as I can remember it being and pretty much everyone was predicting we would lose and Pelach was genuinely under big pressure already because his first two games had been so bad. So given all that context, I think taking the opportunity to celebrate a genuinely impressive result and performance and attempting to rebuild the fractured relationship between the team and the fans was the right thing to do. The performance deserved the standing ovation that we gave them and it was good to show the players that we are a supportive fan base and if you give us performances that we can get behind, we'll get behind you better than fans of most teams can. But that support isn't unconditional and has to be earned.
We can't do it every week though. It was the right move in the context of everything that's happened in the past couple of weeks and the outpouring of relief that was coming from all sides after the game and in the context of bridges needing to be built between the fans and players. But it'll definitely be cringey and OTT if we do it after every scrappy win.

I agree it drives a wedge, but players (and staff) should show more appreciation that most fans have worked hard to pay for tickets and spend a lot of time travelling. Fans are giving, they are taking and giving little back in return. As for "not fit to wear the shirt", look at the players list who have worn the Stoke City shirt: Steele, Soo, Matthews, Franklin, McIlroy, Viollet, Eastham, Banks, Hurst, Shilton, Crouch, etc (Apologies for who I have missed and maybe some were not at their best at Stoke. ) Players who have represented their country with distinction and been great players in the game, some the greatest ever. Then there is the endless list of great Stoke players who played 100s of matches in dedicated service to the club. (I won't list I I would offend by omissions!) If some players don't recognise the heritage they have joined, then give them stick.

I’m just happy to see us score some goals, trying to score is always a good start. We were at it from the off on Wednesday with 5 unsuccessful attempts in the first five minutes. Please, please, please can that be the game plan at home from now on whoever we play. I really can’t stand all that cagey shit. If they want to keep hugging each other and doing the choreographed thing that’s just fine. I can stand watching it taking part would be a whole other matter but don’t think I need to be worrying about that.

I was cringing, please never again lads please. It was a little cringe but not every day you win 6-1 and it shows a bit of unity I think.
