Both had great experiences at this Club of ours it would seem. In fact Bojan , who has since documented his anxiety and mental health issues finally found his footballing home. Adored by the fans where, even for one so young, he'd already suffered from barracking and jeering and worse from his own team and International team's supporters in Spain. We have a young Coach here embarking on a career that has been his dream and a young squad, many of whom have come through our academy and yet, after just two weeks it seems ok for a number of supporters to hound them out without even giving them a chance. If Bojan and Muni are reading this MB they must be wondering why they told their friend to 'go for it' with what they had perceived as being a great Club and a great experience in their careers with fans who were willing to support the team through good times and bad. What a fickle and two-faced bunch and worse we must appear now. No better than the rest. They probably wish they'd not reccomended this move to him . Have a thought at least please for how words and actions can effect people and their psyche. Bet Bojan's seeing us in a different light now . I know we're feeling frustrated, angry, impatient but that has been brought on by seasons of negativity and going back wards not this new Coach and this squad. Let's prove that we are the Supporters that they remember. Just maybe we'll see things start to improve and build for the future. Right now I'm guessing Bojan and Muni won't be visiting the Bet 365 any time soon.

What complete and utter claptrap. The current set up is a shambles compared to the one they were involved in. This fanbase don’t have players of that ilk to adore any more. That’s on the owners for causing the downfall. All on them.
I do wish people would stop having a pop at the majority who are pissed off with the club from top to bottom right now.

So every nine months or so the owners just get to install a new coach/DoF/manager/setup and the positive-ometer gets reset to max again, despite the unending train of bilge the fans have to watch derailing in front of them year after year after year after year after year? I do feel for Chicho, just as I felt for Schumacher the day he was appointed and I'll feel for the next hapless wretch who misreads the "opportunity" offered to them by John Coates and commits career suicide by accepting it. But I'm afraid they signed up to captain this rudderless rustbucket of a club and until the lifeboat of the sack arrives to save them, they'll have to go down with it. probably overdone the metaphors there but you get the picture

They’ve gone out and bought ‘Best Of World of Twist’ CD from the pound bucket in HMV
They’ve developed an unhealthy obsession with Vanessa Feltz
They wonder why some of our current players get huge great song threads written about them while they just had their name chanted over and over at top decibel
Keep going lads, it’s a way of life

Sidibe, Tezgel and Dixon are roundly liked and Sidibe should be our starting centre mid over everyone else. The only young player I’ve seen getting any negativity is Tchamadeu, and to be fair, he has been very poor and may not be ready for the level required. Koumas is showing to be excellent, and Moran has looked good in his performances between injury. The management of the club is where most of the abuse is being directed, rightly so.

It's a results business. Simple as
Bojan and Muniesa played for us in our glory days, when we finished in the top half of the top flight three years running - they are associated with that success and were generally popular characters anyway. So they are well liked.
The new manager was appointed in already controversial circumstances and had made us a worse team than we were before. If we lose tonight we'll have lost three on the bounce under him and be in the relegation zone. If that happens, a large section of the fanbase will turn on him.
It's really as simple as that. Giving people a chance or being patient with them as they bed in is a luxury for when the club is already doing well, or at the very least looks like it has a plan. When you are a head coach who immediately starts leaking goals, you don't have that luxury. The pressure is a natural part of being in a senior position in a club the size of ours.
I think every players, every coach, and every member of the backroom staff at any fully-professional club anywhere in the world understands this. But daft to suggest that they don't.

If Bojan and Muni and anybody else who once has a career here, or elsewhere for that matter, they would not despair if their friend or any other new manager lost his two first games. They know what the game is like, it's not always a bed of roses, both players would know that from their own careers. If they were board members, they would be right behind Pelach and support him any way possible for as long as it takes. And then they would see Pelach come good.

I think, for what it's worth, my thread title was not representative of what I was talking about. I'm obviously not of a mind that Bojan and Muni are musing over our ponderings on a regular basis on a fanzine MB, however, I would imagine that it is given a cursory glance once in a while especially as a friend and fellow countryman has joined as HC. I guess, what I was trying to say, mierda or not was that not everyone is a thick-skinned, highly paid, couldn't give a sh!t type. In fact, it's human nature to often hide emotions and put on the hard face. Bojan is a former player who has documented his anxiety and mental health issues many of which were caused/exacerbated by football and so-called football fans. Football, as someone said is a results game like most other jobs in life however I'm not sure how after two weeks in a new job we'd feel with this 'level' of 'criticism'( i use that word loosely) being directed not just on here by a minority but by thousands as at a football match. I stand by my humble view that whilst everyone has the right to vent their anger and frustration in which way they choose, it will ultimately have a negative effect and worsen the situation. Yes, Bojan and Muni, who have doubtless given the Club and fans a glowing report to Pelach were part of a successful period in Stoke's history. Thank goodness or Bojan would've probably received the dogs abuse that is meted out to so many of the present set of players and staff. I hope that if Bojan/Family/friends do ever read our ramblings they don't mind me using his situation to hilight the detrimental effect of a constant barrage of abuse/insults/over the top criticism that is aimed at certain people without, in most cases even having a modicum of knowledge of real situations. Let's hope our present lot are as thick-skinned /can't be ar$ed as many on here think they are with no mental fragilities at, for what many of our squad is the start of their careers and indeed the start of Pelach's HC career.Bojan and muni's memories of representing this Club are very different thankfully from the ones being created right now and it would seem from what he's said, finally gave Bojan some love back for the game. There'll be plenty of players and Coaches that will leave Stoke with a very different image of us potentially . This is just my opinion and I realise that we are the paying public who are allowed to express our feelings. Just personally don't think any of it is in anyway useful at the moment and can have the potential for personal anguish for some people that can go unseen .

Won't somebody please think of the Bojan? 🤣 Totally missing the point of the post to be honest. I was citing Bojan as a former fans favourite here who'd had mental health issues worsened by the pressure and treatment he got in part from the game ,the expectation and a sector of fans who constantly criticised and harangued him. He, of course, experienced a different side to football here that gave him some positive and enjoyable memories of the game and supportive fans who made the game a good experience again. I would imagine he would be quite surprised to see the vitriol aimed at a new young Coach that he knows and the young squad he has inherited who he has had such a short time to work with. Alongside just saying that, in my view as hard as it may be not to for some, booing/barracking/insulting on a loud mass basis generally has a negative effect on players, makes them even more edgy and less likely to perform to their capabilities, whatever those may be, plus, for some constant abuse has a far more damaging effect. I don't really care if anyone agrees to be honest. I really hope that Pelach can turn this around and get a few people on side. I know we've had a sh!t time as supporters but it's really not this guy's fault. I was merely saying, although clearly a poor thread title, Bojan and Muniesa probably bigged the Club and the supporters up which may have played a part in him deciding to take this as his first HC job. He maybe actually thought we'd get behind him and the team and show support not get on his and their backs straightaway.Anyways, each to their own , that's what debate and opinion are there for.
